Prince Harry: Why Archie Won't Attend Eton Despite UK Education Plans

PRINCE HARRY'S SHOCKING U-TURN: DITCHES ETON FOR UK SCHOOL, BUT WILL MEGHAN AGREE?

In a stunning reversal of his previous plans, Prince Harry has apparently dropped Eton College from the running for his son Archie's education. Sources close to the royal family have revealed that the Duke of Sussex wants his children to be schooled in the UK, citing the importance of community and family ties.

But here's the thing: it seems like a battle is brewing between Harry and his wife Meghan over their kids' education. While Prince Harry is said to be keen on sending Archie and Lilibet to one of Britain's top public schools, Meghan is reportedly against boarding school, calling it "barbaric."

The latest development comes after Prince Harry confided in singer Joss Stone about his plans for his children's education during a meeting at the WellChild Awards in London last September. According to Stone, Harry expressed his admiration for UK schools and their emphasis on community, saying how important it is for kids to grow up surrounded by family, friends, and a strong sense of belonging.

Stone, who has four children with her American husband Cody DaLuz, recently moved back to Britain from Nashville in Tennessee. She attended Prince Harry's wedding to Meghan at Windsor Castle in 2018 and was an ambassador for his former charity Sentebale.

But it seems like Harry's UK schools plan may not be a done deal just yet. A friend of the couple told The Scholarly Note.com that there is still some negotiation between Harry and Meghan over their children's education. "There is still some discussion to be had," they said. "The King, however, is delighted."

This latest twist in Prince Harry's educational plans comes as a surprise to many after he publicly expressed his love for life in the US during an event in New York last December. At the time, he gushed about living and raising his kids in America, saying it was something he never thought he'd do but now feels like the perfect fit.

However, sources close to the couple have revealed that Harry wants his children to experience a British education and be part of the extensive family network they're missing out on. "Harry feels his children are missing out on the extensive family network that their niece and nephews are enjoying," one insider said. "He wants his own kids to have the very best education."

But Meghan's opposition to boarding school may put a spanner in the works of Harry's plans. According to The Scholarly Note.com, she is against sending her children to boarding school, citing concerns about their emotional well-being.

The controversy over Prince Harry's educational plans comes as his family tries to navigate its complicated relationships with the British royal family. Just last month, Grant Harrold, a former personal butler to King Charles, told Sky News Australia that it was "very likely" Harry would want his children to have a British education.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate's children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, all attend £32,000-per-year Lambrook in Berkshire. Could we see a repeat of the Cambridges' school choices for Harry and Meghan's kids?

As for Prince Harry's plans to spend more time in the UK, he seems to be following through on his promise. During his recent visit to London, he met with his father Charles at Clarence House for nearly an hour – their first face-to-face meeting in 19 months.

But despite his desire to reconnect with his family and country, Prince Harry's decision to send his children to a UK school may not be without its challenges. As one royal expert noted, "It's a complex situation, and there will likely be some negotiation between Harry and Meghan over their children's education."

Only time will tell how this royal drama unfolds, but one thing is certain: Prince Harry's decision to send his kids to a UK school has got everyone talking!
