Pete Davidson and Machine Gun Kelly's Wild Ride: Playdates, Babies, and Sobriety

In a shocking turn of events, SNL alum Pete Davidson and his BFF Machine Gun Kelly are taking their friendship to new heights – or should we say, to new playgrounds? With both comedians expecting babies around the same time, they've started planning "playdates" for their little ones.

Davidson, 31, has been going strong with English model Elsie Hewitt since March. The whirlwind romance has led to a pregnancy bombshell, and while it wasn't exactly planned, Davidson and his girlfriend are over the moon about becoming parents.

Earlier this week on Wednesday, the Bad Things rapper shared a carousel of Instagram images - and one notably showed him FaceTiming with Davidson

Meanwhile, Kelly is already a dad to 16-year-old Casie, whom he shares with ex Emma Cannon. However, his life changed dramatically in March when he welcomed three-month-old Saga Blade with Megan Fox – just four months after splitting from the actress. Talk about a whirlwind romance!

It seems like Kelly's daughter Casie has been a source of inspiration for him. In an interview last year, the rapper revealed that she helped him get sober. He credits her for breaking his heart and making him realize he needed to make changes for their sake.

Kelly's comments on The Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast were heartfelt: 'It took me a while afterward, because obviously drugs have a vice grip on you. As a father and as a man, to be the father I wish my dad would have been, I have to break this generational curse for my kid.'

The comedian was first romantically linked to English model Elsie Hewitt in March - and last week the couple announced that baby number one is on the way amid their whirlwind romance

As it turns out, Kelly isn't the only one working on his sobriety. Davidson recently opened up about his journey on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, sharing that he's been sober for nearly a year and has paid around $200k in tattoo removal as part of his transformation.

When asked if there was a difference in performing since becoming sober, Davidson replied, 'Oh, yeah.' He joked that being high made him think he was good, but now he's "weirdly sharper and more aware" – which is definitely something to be excited about!

The SNL alum also shared his thoughts on parenthood with E! News. With a hint of nostalgia, Davidson expressed how he wants to give his child the childhood he didn't have: 'I assume you just try to give them what you didn't have, and what you didn't like, not do it.'

And when Davidson's girlfriend announced the pregnancy bombshell, Kelly jumped to the comment section of her post and wrote, 'these playdates bout to hittttt'

Given their close friendship and now, impending fatherhood, Kelly and Davidson seem to be taking playdates to a whole new level. Who knows? Maybe they'll even start a support group for fellow dads trying to break free from their wild child antics.

While some may see this as an odd pairing, the two comedians have been friends since 2017 when they met on the set of MTV's Wild 'N Out. Their friendship blossomed over shared interests and values – including a love for weed (who wouldn't?) and good music.

The years that followed saw Kelly and Davidson attend events together, support each other on social media, and even film projects like The Dirt in 2019. When Davidson faced a tough time, Kelly was always there to offer a helping hand or words of encouragement.

'And we were both just, like, super stoners...[We] listened to the same music… So that's my boy,' the music artist said; seen in 2020 in NYC

Now, as they embark on this new chapter of fatherhood, it's clear that their friendship is stronger than ever. Who knows? Maybe these two will be the ultimate playdate duo – minus the weed, of course!

As for Davidson and Hewitt, sources close to the couple claim they're "over the moon" about becoming parents. Despite not planning for a child, they seem to be taking this new development in stride – with plenty of love and support from their friends.

The news has brought them even closer together, and insiders say: 'Pete and Elsie have a really playful relationship, and things are going really well.' With Kelly and Davidson's friendship serving as a source of inspiration, it's clear that these two couples will navigate this new chapter with love, laughter, and a whole lot of playdates.

Kelly continued, 'I don't have any siblings, you know, so when you see someone like Pete, like that's like my little brother. He's my best friend too'; seen in 2019 in NYC

He has also credited Casie for helping him to get sober, which he discussed on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast last year; seen with his eldest daughter in June in Santa Monica

'I'm just so elated. It's just awesome,' he gushed to Access Online, before adding that he 'was just meant to be a dad'

Davidson has also worked on his sobriety, which he opened up about on Tuesday's episode of The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon (seen above)

Despite dating for a 'short amount of time,' the pregnancy 'has brought them even closer. It's a healthy relationship for Pete'
