Perrie and Alex announced their engagement in April 2022 after making their relationship public in 2017. But this trip seems to be all about the romance, with the couple putting on a playful display at dinner time with their adorable three-year-old son Axel in tow.
In the snaps shared on Instagram, Perrie stunned in an emerald halterneck dress that left us green with envy! Meanwhile, Alex kept it casual in his white T-shirt and black trousers. But let's be real, the real stars of the show were those dreamy eyes and that radiant smile!
The couple's vacation comes after Perrie revealed on Capital Evening with Jimmy Hill how she took her sweet time to confess her love to Alex. It seems she had a bit of a pan-ic moment (get it? like the frying pan she was carrying?) when she finally found the courage to say those three magical words!
"I remember saying to the girls, 'I think I love him... but I think he loves me too' and they were like, 'Then just tell him'," Perrie shared. "So I went out of my way to buy a pan, thinking, 'I'm gonna make his dreams come true, I'm gonna make him pancakes in the morning!'"
But when it came time to actually confess her feelings, Perrie admitted she was "speechless"! Can you blame her? Those butterflies must have been doing backflips in her stomach!
In a heartwarming turn of events, Alex told her he loved her too, and the rest is history! The pair has now been together for eight whole years, and it's clear their love has only grown stronger with time.
Perrie even released a new single titled You Go Your Way last year, which seems to be inspired by that pivotal moment in their relationship. She explained: "I told Alex, you go your way and I'll go mine and if it's meant to be we'll find each other again when I am back."
Well, it looks like fate had other plans! The couple is now engaged with a beautiful three-year-old son Axel, and it's clear they're living their best lives. As Perrie so wisely said: "I truly believe if you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it's yours. If not it was never meant to be."
