Olivia Munn Clears the Air: Aaron Rodgers' Family Estrangement Not Her Fault
SCANDAL ALERT!
Olivia Munn Spills the Tea on Her Toxic Ex, Aaron Rodgers!
The 44-year-old actress and her husband John Mulaney are living their best lives with two adorable kids - but it wasn't always sunshine and rainbows for Olivia. She's finally speaking out about her tumultuous relationship with NFL star Aaron Rodgers, which ended in a messy breakup back in 2017.
During an appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard, Olivia revealed that she didn't watch Aaron's Netflix documentary, calling it "a narrative that never would ring true" and implying that he was trying to spin her as the villain. "People have speculated for many years what was the rift (between Aaron and his family), and I know, but I'm not saying because it's not my story to tell," she said.
But Olivia wasn't about to let Aaron get away with painting himself as the victim. She called out the narrative that emerged during their relationship, saying it was unfair to blame her for his estrangement from his parents and brother. "I didn't get credit for any of the wins" during their time together, she said.
Olivia also clapped back at fans who unfairly blamed Jessica Simpson for Tony Romo's lackluster performance on the field. "During my time with him (Aaron), he had three hail marys, I think two NFC championships - not wins - but he made it into the NFC championship, which is very hard," she said. "No one would want to talk about that."
The actress also addressed rumors that she caused Aaron's estrangement from his family. In 2024, Aaron finally cleared up the decade-long rumor, saying in an interview with Ian O'Connor that his "deep-rooted" family issues have "nothing to do with" Olivia. She appreciated him setting the record straight, even if it took a while.
Olivia and John are now parents of two beautiful children - daughter Méi June Mulaney, born via surrogate in September 2024, and three-year-old son Malcolm. But her journey wasn't without its challenges. In 2023, she was diagnosed with luminal B breast cancer in both breasts and underwent five surgeries, including a full hysterectomy and double mastectomy.
Despite the ups and downs, Olivia is grateful for her supportive husband John, who encouraged her to freeze more eggs during her cancer treatment. "He said, 'Whatever you want to do, I'll support you.' So we went down the journey of getting more eggs," she said.
It's clear that Olivia Munn has moved on from her toxic relationship with Aaron Rodgers and is focusing on her health, family, and future. We can't help but root for this strong and resilient woman!
