Oasis Tour Ends in Glitz: Noel's Bash, Liam Ditches for Quiet Night!
The Oasis Brothers Reunite for a Night of Music, Mayhem, and Mischief
It's been years since the Gallagher brothers last shared a stage together, but it seems that old habits die hard - especially when it comes to partying. Noel Gallagher marked the end of Oasis' UK tour with a star-studded bash at Chiltern Firehouse on Sunday, but his brother Liam opted for a low-key celebration instead.
Noel, 58, was joined by a bevy of beautiful people, including Lily Allen, Lily James, Poppy Delevingne, and Lady Victoria Hervey. The singer let loose with his rarely-seen girlfriend Sally Wainwright (not Mash, but we'll get to that later), rubbing shoulders with fans and enjoying unlimited Supersonic cocktails.
But the real party animal of the night was Gene Gallagher, Liam's 24-year-old son, who joined the fray alongside Noel's daughter Anaïs. The two Oasis offspring were seen dancing the night away, no doubt reliving memories of their parents' glory days.
Meanwhile, Liam had a 'low-key celebration' with his partner Debbie Gwyther at home. According to sources close to the family, Liam is being careful not to overexert himself - and his vocal cords. "Liam's decided to have a low-key celebration with Debbie instead," says a source. "They're planning an early-ish night because he can't afford to get ill or for his voice to be damaged."
Noel, it seems, was devastated when Chiltern Firehouse burnt down last year and had vowed to throw a party as soon as they were back up and running. And what a party it was! With catering and unlimited Supersonic cocktails flowing, the night was shaping up to be one for the ages.
But what about Liam's booze ban? Well, sources close to the band claim that he relented on his no-alcohol rule just for this special occasion - and even shared a toast with his brother and beloved mum Peggie after their final gig at Wembley Stadium on Saturday. "Noel was chuffed by Liam joining the afterparty," says our insider. "The duo were in a great place, both personally and professionally."
And speaking of great places, Oasis is set to return next year with more gig dates following their successful UK tour. In fact, sources close to the band are tipping them for a massive Knebworth show - just like the one that launched them into superstardom back in 1996.
Liam's promise to fans at Wembley Stadium was music to their ears: "I wanna thank you lot for keeping the faith and putting this band back on the f**king map. Champagne Supernova. See you next year!" And it seems they will be seeing a lot more of Oasis in the future - including, possibly, a show-stealing appearance by Matt Smith's ex-girlfriend Lily James.
But what about Noel's girlfriend? Sources close to the singer have confirmed that he is indeed dating Sally Wainwright (not Mash), but we're not sure if she was there with him at Chiltern Firehouse. Maybe next time, Noel - after all, you did let your hair down!
