Nip/Tuck Star Dylan Walsh's Binge Drinking Bungle: Actor's Wild Ride Ends with Crash, Citation, and a Side of White Claw

In a shocking turn of events, 61-year-old actor Dylan Walsh, best known for his role as Dr. Sean McNamara on the hit FX series Nip/Tuck, was involved in a terrifying car crash earlier this month in Rumson, New Jersey. The Los Angeles-born star's night out with friends at the Mule Barn Tavern took a dark turn when he got behind the wheel of his 2022 Ford Explorer, allegedly with an open container of booze in tow.

According to police reports obtained by The Scholarly Note, Walsh admitted to officers on the scene that he had been drinking before getting into the crash. A cooler bag filled with White Claw Hard Seltzer was found in the back seat of the vehicle, some of which were already opened. Witnesses claim they saw the actor's wife, Leslie Bourque-Walsh, frantically yelling for someone to remove a bag from the back seat as they approached the scene.

The drama unfolded on August 17th when Walsh's Ford Explorer careened into a pair of utility poles in Rumson. Eyewitnesses described the vehicle swerving towards oncoming traffic before crashing, and police reports confirm that it was indeed traveling erratically before impact. When questioned by officers, Walsh claimed he had been returning from an outing at the beach in Sandy Hook, about seven miles north of the crash site.

Walsh's appearance at the scene was reportedly "very red" and "very confused," leaving onlookers to wonder if the actor was more shaken than stirred after his night out. Miraculously, everyone involved in the accident – including Walsh, his wife, two children, and another passenger – escaped unharmed.

However, the aftermath of the crash proved far from smooth sailing for the actor. Not only did he receive six citations for reckless driving, possessing an open container of alcohol, and driving on a sidewalk, but it's also been reported that his blood sample results are still pending. While Walsh has not been charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), many are left wondering how much – if any – impairment played a role in the accident.

Walsh's representative released a statement last week assuring fans that everyone involved is safe and sound, with the family "deeply grateful" for the swift response of local authorities. The River Point Inn management also received special thanks from Walsh's camp for their support following the incident.

As news of the crash spreads, many are left wondering if this incident will mark a turning point in Walsh's personal life. With a storied career spanning over two decades, including notable roles on Blue Bloods, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Superman & Lois, it remains to be seen whether this blemish on his public image will have any lasting effects.

For now, fans can only hope that the Nip/Tuck alum has learned a valuable lesson about drinking and driving – or at least knows better than to risk it all for a White Claw-fueled good time.
