Nicole Scherzinger Signals Pussycat Dolls Reunion with Glamorous Clue!
Pussycat Dolls Reunion on the Horizon? Nicole Scherzinger Teases with Sizzling Photoshoot
Get ready for a blast from the past! The one and only Nicole Scherzinger, 47, has been teasing a potential Pussycat Dolls reunion, and we can't help but get excited. In a sizzling new photoshoot, the US singer sported a massive gold chain emblazoned with the iconic girl group's name around her neck.
The raunchy outfit was straight out of their neo-burlesque era, which had fans swooning back in the day. Nicole paired the statement piece with a daring black and white corset top layered under a cropped zipped jacket, complete with figure-hugging latex trousers that hugged every curve. And to top it all off? A pair of matching thigh-high leather boots that sent temperatures soaring.
But what's got everyone talking is the subtle hint at a reunion tour. The Pussycat Dolls disbanded in 2010 after their final original tour, but plans for a comeback were derailed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Could this be the perfect opportunity to revive the group?
For those who may not know, Nicole was one of the founding members of the group, along with Melody Thornton, Kaya Jones, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, and Kimberly Wyatt. Founded by choreographer Robin Antin in 1995 as a burlesque troupe, the group gained mainstream success under the guidance of legendary record executive Jimmy Iovine, who convinced Nicole to join the group as lead singer in 2003.
Their two albums, PCD (2005) and Doll Domination (2008), cemented their place in pop history. But behind-the-scenes drama has plagued the group since its inception. A lawsuit filed by Robin against Nicole in 2021 claimed she was refusing to join the reunion unless she was given a majority stake in the venture, despite previously agreeing to a smaller share.
Nicole vehemently denied these claims, stating that she wasn't trying to re-negotiate her original agreement about their joint venture, Pussycat Dolls Worldwide. The singer has since released her first solo album in 2011 and has been working on new music – but it looks like the past is calling.
"I'm always working on music," Nicole revealed in an exclusive interview with thescholarlynote.com. "So I can't wait to share some of my new musical projects in the future... But that time will come. One thing at a time, everything in its own time."
The singer has been busy with her acting career, starring in blockbuster films like Moana and Men In Black 3, among others. And just last year, Nicole made history by bagging herself an Olivier Award for Best Actress for Sunset Boulevard – where she played the iconic Norma Desmond. Talk about a comeback kid!
But what's next? The Hawaii-born pop princess has now taken to Broadway, making her debut as Norma Desmond in Andrew Lloyd Webber's stunning musical. We caught up with Nicole to get the inside scoop on this monumental moment.
"It's crazy," she gushed. "I've done the West End twice and I've never gone to Broadway. This is my very first time, I'm making my debut as Norma Desmond... It's going to be a dream come true for me."
When asked about the role, Nicole revealed that it was "extremely demanding" – but she wouldn't have it any other way. "I lay it out there, all on the line and I leave it all out there every single performance," she confessed. "It's what I love... You have to do everything a hundred and ten percent."
With the Pussycat Dolls reunion on the horizon, one thing is for sure – we can't wait to see what the future holds for this iconic group. And with Nicole Scherzinger at the helm, it's going to be an explosive return that will leave fans screaming for more!
