But what's even more shocking is that Eggert has been dealing with breast cancer for over a year now! In December 2023, she revealed that she had been diagnosed with stage 2 cribriform carcinoma breast cancer - a rare type of invasive breast cancer. The actress attributed the delay in her diagnosis to the busy schedules of her doctors and the fact that everything was booked solid.
But what really got our attention was when Eggert revealed that more cancer had been discovered in her lymph nodes earlier this year. In an interview on Inside Edition, she confessed that if she hadn't had tissue from the implants she got at the age of 19, she might have felt anomalies in her breasts sooner.
"It's very rare," Eggert said, recalling the shock and terror she felt when receiving her diagnosis. "Any anomalies in my breasts were more difficult to find because of tissue from the implants I got at 19."
The Baywatch star also opened up about her biggest fear - being unable to be there for her two daughters, Dilyn (27) and Keegan (14). "I lost all hearing, everything sank," Eggert recalled. "My heart dropped."
