Nick Frost Unveiled as Rubeus Hagrid in Controversial Harry Potter TV Series

Filming of Harry Potter 's TV series is continuing as bosses released a first look of Nick Frost in the role as Rubeus Hagrid

HARRY POTTER'S WIZARDING WORLD COMES TO LIFE ON THE SCHOLARLY NOTE!

Get ready for a magical ride, Potterheads! TheScholarlyNote.com has got the scoop on the highly-anticipated TV adaptation of J.K. Rowling's beloved book series, and it's going to be BIG!

The first look at Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid has dropped, and we can barely contain our excitement! The 53-year-old comedian and actor looks unrecognizable in full costume, sporting a thick long beard and locks that will transport you straight back to the Hogwarts grounds.

Nick was forced to switch off his Instagram comments when news of his casting was announced after he was trolled by trans activists

But that's not all, folks! Dominic McLaughlin, who plays Harry Potter, was spotted on set with a clapboard, looking strikingly like a young Daniel Radcliffe (remember when he first stepped into the role in 2001?).

Meanwhile, Arabella Stanton takes on the iconic role of Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout will be playing Ron Weasley. The trio is sure to bring magic to the small screen!

Filming has begun at Warner Bros studios in Leavesden, with the highly-anticipated series set to land on HBO in 2027. But what's really got everyone buzzing is the star-studded cast, featuring:

  • Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom
  • Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley
  • Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch
  • Anton Lesser (aka Qyburn from Game of Thrones) as Garrick Ollivander
  • Bel Powley and Daniel Rigby as Mr. and Mrs. Dursley
  • Janet McTeer as Professor McGonagall
  • Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape
  • Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy (Draco's dad)
  • Emmy winner John Lithgow as Headmaster Albus Dumbledore
  • Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley (Ron, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, and Ginny's mom)

And let's not forget the drama surrounding J.K. Rowling's involvement as executive producer! The author has faced backlash from fans over her views on transgender issues, but HBO remains committed to the project.

In a statement, the network defended Rowling's role, saying: "We are proud to once again tell the story of Harry Potter – the heartwarming books that speak to the power of friendship, resolve and acceptance. JK Rowling has a right to express her personal views. We will remain focused on the development of the new series, which will only benefit from her involvement."

As theScholarlyNote.com reported earlier this year, the show is said to be costing £75 million per episode – that's a whopping total! And with the three child actors taking on the lead roles tipped to land even bigger fortunes than the original stars, it's no wonder fans are going wild!

Rowling released the first Harry Potter novel, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," in 1997, followed by "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" in 1998. The rest is history – the series has become a global phenomenon, with millions of copies sold worldwide.
