Nick Cannon's Take on 'Co-Parenting': Why He Prefers Just 'Parenting'

Nick Cannon is coming clean about why he can't stand the term 'co-parenting.' On the latest episode of his podcast Nick Cannon @ Night , the 44-year-old actor unloaded on the concept; seen with Brittany Bell and (L¿R) sons Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah and daughter Powerful Queen in November in Hollywood

Nick Cannon Spills Tea on "Co-Parenting" and His 12 Kids with Six Different Women

In a recent episode of his podcast, Nick Cannon is letting it all out - and we're not just talking about his secrets to a successful career or his latest business ventures! The 44-year-old actor, TV host, and father of 12 has been making headlines for years due to his large family, and now he's sharing his unfiltered thoughts on what it's really like to be a dad to so many kids.

The conversation started when a listener asked Cannon about managing multiple "co-parenting" relationships while dating. But instead of playing it safe, Cannon dished out some real talk - and we're not surprised. After all, this is the same guy who recently roasted for launching a relationship advice podcast due to his numerous children and baby mamas!

"I've always kind of had an issue with the term 'co-parenting'," Cannon admitted on The Nick Cannon @ Night podcast. "When you start throwing labels on things, I think it does more harm than help and can get very dangerous, because then everybody else has a preconceived notion of what you're doing."

Cannon went on to explain that he prefers not to use the term, opting for something much simpler: parenting. And honestly, who can blame him? When you've got 12 kids with six different women, things can get complicated - and fast!

The Wild 'N Out host also shared his take on how to navigate these complex relationships. According to Cannon, it's all about treating each of the mothers like individuals, rather than lumping them together as "baby mamas." He emphasized that everyone wants to be respected and treated with compassion.

"I really try my hardest not to be like, 'Oh yeah, my baby mamas,' you know, unless I'm telling a joke or something like that," Cannon explained. "But no one wants to be grouped into anything. Everyone wants to be treated like an individual with respect and compassion."

So, how does Cannon manage his massive family? Well, it's not exactly easy - but he's determined to make it work. He shared that while he still hasn't "figured it out yet," he makes a conscious effort to approach each situation with kindness and understanding.

"I haven't gotten it all the way right," Cannon admitted candidly. "But also to your point, if I just step into every situation with respect and compassion and individuality... That's the other thing I always do with anyone I'm involved with in my life."

Of course, not everyone is on the same page as Cannon when it comes to his family dynamics. When asked about whether all of the women are on good terms with each other, he shot back: "No! Do you know six women anywhere that get along?"

The Masked Singer host has been open about the challenges of being a father to so many kids, including admitting earlier this year that he might be ready to consider putting a cap on his family. But don't worry - Nick still hasn't given up on having more babies just yet!

When asked if he would have another child with one of the women who had already had his babies, Cannon replied: "I don’t know. That’s the thing. I leave it to the Lord." We can't help but wonder what the future holds for this prolific dad.

Cannon, who has amassed a staggering 12 children since 2011, gave a surprising update on the possibility that he might get a vasectomy on a March episode of his podcast We Playin' Spades; seen in September in LA

As fans know, Nick has been open about his desire to keep growing his family and even recently congratulated Elon Musk on his 13th child! And while that might seem like a lot of kids to handle, Cannon's got some sage advice: "I lend[s] that type of stuff to God," he said in a previous interview. "And only He would tell me when it's time to stop having kids."

Despite the challenges that come with being a dad to 12, Cannon is committed to making his family work - and we've got to admire him for that.

About Nick Cannon:

Nick took the opportunity to say that the podcast  felt like 'an intervention'

The actor has been making headlines since 2008 with his multiple high-profile relationships and children. His most notable romance was with Mariah Carey, with whom he shares twins Moroccan and Monroe. He's also had children with Brittany Bell (three kids), Abby De La Rosa (three kids), Bre Tiesi (one kid), Alyssa Scott (two kids), and LaNisha Cole (one kid).

Cannon has been open about his desire to keep growing his family, but it seems like he's now considering the practicalities of having so many kids. In a recent conversation with co-host Courtney Bee on We Playin' Spades, Cannon mentioned that getting a vasectomy might be the "responsible thing to do" - but don't count him out just yet!

The Takeaway:

Nick had an apparent moment of clarity when he admitted ¿ in a bashful tone ¿ that getting a vasectomy was the 'responsible thing to do'

Nick Cannon is unapologetically himself and willing to share his unfiltered thoughts on everything from co-parenting to family dynamics. Whether or not you agree with his parenting style, one thing's for sure: this dad of 12 is committed to making it work - even if that means leaving the details up to the Lord.

However, even if he now acknowledged that it was the smart choice for someone in his position, he remained defiant. 'I'm just ¿ I'm not done [having children],' he added; seen with Mariah Carey and twins Moroccan and Monroe in 2017

Nick said it was 'honorable' to get a vasectomy as part of a woman's wishes. He has previously spoken about how his 'biggest guilt' is not getting to 'spend enough time with all [his] children'; pictured with Abby De La Rosa, daughter Beautiful Zeppelin and twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir
