NFL Star Tyreek Hill: Hypocrisy or Harsh Reality in Gag Order Drama?
TYREEK HILL: FROM TOUCHDOWN TO TROUBLE - THE NFL STAR'S DIVORCE WARS GET UGLY
TheScholarlyNote.com can exclusively reveal that NFL bad boy Tyreek Hill, 31, has been branded a "hypocrite" by his estranged wife Keeta Vaccaro's legal team for slating her in public divorce filings while asking a judge to gag her from speaking out.
The speedy athlete, known as Cheetah on the field, is accused of being involved in a nasty five-month marriage that has now turned into a bitter divorce battle. Hill's attorneys submitted a motion last month seeking a gag order against Vaccaro's legal team, claiming they were making "denigrating, disparaging and uncivil statements" about him.
But Vaccaro's lawyers are having none of it. In a scathing response, they blasted Hill for trying to silence them because he's famous and doesn't want to look bad. "The Goose-Gander Rule is instructive, and its application reveals the hypocrisy of husband's position," they wrote.
The drama began when Vaccaro, 29, filed for divorce on April 7, just a day after police responded to reports of an "assault in progress" at their luxury Miami condo. Hill was accused of being aggressive and impulsive during the incident, but police determined that no crime was committed.
Since then, an astonishing 78 court documents have been submitted as the estranged couple bickers over spousal support and access to their seven-month-old daughter Capri. Vaccaro's lawyers claim Hill has no intention of spending time with his daughter or assuming parental responsibilities, and is only using the divorce process to exert control.
The gridiron phenom's real objective, they say, is "coercion and control." They also blasted Hill for his alleged lack of involvement in the lives of his other ten (or more) children, including three born in 2023. The paperwork added: "Respondent's past behavior shows he uses timesharing demands as a 'stick' to beat up the mothers of his children so that they will not seek appropriate financial relief."
Hill's attorneys responded by calling Vaccaro's allegations an "unnecessary" attack on Hill's parenting skills, and claiming she was using false violent narrative about him. They also pointed out that just days earlier Hill had accused Vaccaro of stealing cash and hacking into his financial accounts to make unauthorized transfers.
"This is not a case where the husband has simply asked for time sharing," they wrote. "This is a case where the wife has sought to use the divorce process as an opportunity to exact revenge on the husband for his past wrongdoings."
Judge Spencer Multack has yet to rule on the gag order request, but it's clear that this divorce battle is going to be a long and messy one.
Tyreek Hill's history of controversy is well-documented. He was kicked off the team at Oklahoma State in 2014 after choking his then-fiancée Crystal Espinal while she was pregnant with their first son, Zev Carter. He received three years' probation for the incident.
In 2019, he was suspended by Kansas City over alleged child abuse allegations but was reinstated after pleading his innocence and a district attorney determined there was insufficient evidence to prove he had broken Zev's arm.
More recently, Hill has been ensnared in paternity battles with multiple women. He's also fighting a lawsuit filed by plus-sized influencer Sophie Hall who says he broke her leg during a practice football scrimmage in his backyard.
Last year, Hill was hauled from his McLaren supercar and bundled to the ground in a September 8 traffic stop that was caught on shocking police bodycam footage outside Hard Rock Stadium. He was cleared of careless driving and failing to wear a seatbelt when the officers involved failed to show up to court.
