SPOTLIGHT ON HOLLYWOOD'S FAVORITE AUSSIE: NAOMI WATTS SHINES BRIGHT AT THE HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME

The glamour of Hollywood was on full display as Australian actress Naomi Watts made her mark on the iconic Walk of Fame. The 57-year-old beauty, known for her roles in King Kong and Mulholland Drive, looked absolutely stunning in a peach-colored dress and bold red lip, paired with her signature blonde locks in a classic bob.

The ceremony was a star-studded affair, with some of Hollywood's biggest names turning out to pay tribute to Watts' remarkable career. Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash-Betts, and Edward Norton were among the A-listers who joined Watts as she celebrated this momentous occasion. Even American Horror Story director Ryan Murphy made an appearance, no doubt drawn in by the allure of Watts' Aussie charm.

But it was Jack Black who stole the show with his mischievous antics. The comedian couldn't resist laying claim to Watts' new star by sprawled out across it, wearing a pair of jeans and a Pounamu necklace from New Zealand. Watts couldn't help but burst into giggles at her friend's playful hijacking.

As the ceremony got underway, Watts was visibly emotional as she reflected on her journey to Hollywood stardom. When asked about her Australian upbringing by Today, she gushed about the strong work ethic and down-to-earth values that have always defined her home country. "Australians know how to work hard and keep their hearts on their sleeves at the same time," she proudly declared.

The love and admiration pouring in from Watts' colleagues was palpable throughout the ceremony. Fellow Aussie Nicole Kidman penned a heartfelt letter, which was read aloud by a visibly moved Watts. In it, Kidman described Watts as "one of her most cherished friends" – a sentiment that spoke volumes about their enduring bond.

Watts' family were also out in force to support her on this special day. Her husband, actor Billy Crudup, and son Sasha Schreiber (who's now studying at the University of South California) joined Watts as she beamed with pride. However, there was one notable absence: 16-year-old daughter Kai, who's been making waves in the fashion world.

Kai, a rising star model, has been walking the runway for top designers and strutting her stuff on the red carpet. Her mum couldn't be prouder – we spotted her cheering Kai on at Paris Fashion Week, where the teenager made her debut at the Mugler Womenswear Spring/Summer 2026 show.

But Kai's life hasn't been without its challenges. The teenage beauty has been open about her struggles with gender identity and coming out journey. In an interview with Interview Magazine earlier this year, she spoke candidly about finding inspiration in trans icons like Alex Consani and Hunter Schafer.

A number of A-list actors joined the 57-year-old as she celebrated the milestone moment, including Sarah Paulson (left), Niecy Nash-Betts (right) and Edward Norton , as well as American Horror Story director Ryan Murphy

When asked about her role models, Kai gushed: "I'm always going to look up to the older generation of transgender people, especially in fashion... it's so great that there's a strong community of us in the fashion world; it's really a doll takeover."

As Watts marked this significant milestone on the Walk of Fame, we couldn't help but wonder what the future holds for her talented daughter. Will Kai continue to break boundaries and shatter glass ceilings as she navigates the cutthroat world of fashion? Only time will tell – but one thing's for sure: both mother and daughter are guaranteed to leave their mark on Hollywood for years to come.

TheScholarlyNote.com would like to congratulate Naomi Watts on this incredible achievement. As we shine our spotlight on her, it's clear that the Australian beauty has earned her place among the stars in every sense of the word.

The 16-year-old instead posted a subtle nod to her mum on Instagram, sharing a picture of her and her newly-minted star with the caption: 'I know that's right'
