Monica Lewinsky on Love and Power: The Truth Behind the Clinton Scandal

Monica Lewinsky has revealed whether she loved Bill Clinton and reflected on the 'abuse of power' and 'Bimbo' narrative that was forced upon her in latest podcast

MONICA LEWINSKY OPENS UP ABOUT HER TORRID AFFAIR WITH BILL CLINTON - AND IT'S WAY MORE COMPLICATED THAN YOU THOUGHT!

Thirty years ago, Monica Lewinsky was thrust into the spotlight after her steamy affair with then-President Bill Clinton sent shockwaves around the world. Now, at 51, she's dishing all about what really went down in that infamous White House bedroom - and it's way more complicated than you thought!

In a candid chat on How To Fail with Elizabeth Day (available on TheScholarlyNote.com), Monica revealed that, yes, she did have feelings for the charismatic leader. But don't get it twisted - those emotions were also fueled by an abuse of power.

The 51-year-old made global headlines after being embroiled in a scandalous affair with the then-President Bill Clinton (pictured in November). She was 22 and he was 49 at the time

"I think there was some limerence there and all sorts of other things," Monica confessed. "I think it was also an abuse of power."

But what about the infamous "bimbo" narrative that followed her everywhere? Monica spilled the tea: "My very first job out of college was working in the White House. I don't think that that's the kind of trajectory that someone thinks then 10, 12 years later, that person's not going to be able to get hired."

She went on to reveal how she was repeatedly portrayed as a dumb blonde by the media and even other women - but Monica insists it was all part of a carefully crafted narrative designed to discredit her.

She insisted: ''I'm by no means a genius, by no means going to be the cream of the crop but I wasn't a bimbo. I wasn't a dumb bimbo. 'So I was portrayed to be, and that was a big struggle for me to deal with that'

"It was a big struggle for me to deal with that," Monica said, her voice laced with frustration. "And you were often portrayed as that by other women."

Now, if you thought Monica's affair with Bill was the most scandalous part of this whole saga, think again! In a separate chat on Call Her Daddy, Monica revealed how she felt like she'd "lost her future" after becoming infamous.

"I was very quickly painted as a stalker, mentally unstable, not attractive enough," she shared, recalling the brutal media scrutiny that followed. "There was so much collateral damage for women of my generation to watch a young woman be pilloried on the world stage..."

It's clear Monica is still grappling with the fallout from her affair - but in these candid chats, she's taking control of her narrative and shedding light on the ways in which women are often silenced, shamed, and erased. Stay tuned for more juicy reveals!
