Model Josie Canseco Sparks Outrage with Charlie Kirk Tribute

SHOCKING CELEBRITY TRIBUTES SPARK FURY: JOSE CANSECO'S DAUGHTER JOSIE CANSECO UNDER FIRE FOR CHARLIE KIRK T tributes

In a jaw-dropping display of insensitivity, influencer and model Josie Canseco has sparked outrage with her tribute to the late Charlie Kirk, a 31-year-old right-wing political activist who was tragically gunned down at Utah Valley University. The incident has left the nation in shock, but it's Josie's reaction that has raised eyebrows.

Josie, 28, took to Instagram after confirming Kirk's death and gushed about his supposed intelligence, calling him "one of the smartest humans" and posting a photo of him with a child. But her words fell flat with fans, who quickly turned on her for what they saw as tone-deaf commentary.

She took to Instagram to share a message of condolences to the late activist

"I'm not sure where Josie gets off thinking Charlie Kirk was one of the smartest humans," said one Reddit user. "He was just another hate-mongering, divisive influencer with a platform to spew his toxic views."

Another critic called Josie's tribute "delusional" and added, "She's got rocks for brains if she thinks praising this guy is going to make her look good." A third chimed in, "I'm getting so tired of celebrities using tragedies like this as opportunities to virtue-signal. Unfollowed a YouTube channel just now over their Charlie Kirk tribute."

The backlash wasn't limited to Josie alone; Erin Napier, one half of HGTV's popular renovation duo with her husband Ben, faced similar criticism for sharing a brief but pointed message after Kirk's death. "Only the demonized celebrate death," she wrote, which was met with outrage from some fans who accused her of being insensitive.

In a separate post, Josie also shared a text tribute which called out political gun violence

Napier swiftly fired back at the hostile responses in a follow-up post, writing, "I am revolted by some of the comments I've been getting in my DMs. Unfollow me immediately if you could be one of those comments. Christ, have mercy on us all."

But what sparked this whole debacle? According to authorities, Robinson, 22, had written a chilling note before the shooting, stating he would "take out" Charlie Kirk. The note was later recovered and confirmed by the FBI.

Josie's father, baseball legend Jose Canseco, has been married twice, including to Jessica Canseco from 1996 to 1999. Josie herself has made headlines in the past for her high-profile relationships, including a romance with NFL star Johnny Manziel.

As the world grapples with the aftermath of this senseless tragedy, it's clear that some celebrities are still struggling to find their voice. Will they learn from this controversy and speak out against hate, or will we see more insensitivity from the likes of Josie Canseco?
