OBAMA EXCLUSIVE: Michelle's Shocking Confession About Her First Encounter with Barack

In a juicy revelation that's got everyone talking, former First Lady Michelle Obama has spilled the tea on her first meeting with husband Barack, and let's just say it was a far cry from love at first sight. On the latest episode of their popular podcast, IMO, Michelle dished out all the dirt about how she initially thought Barack was "weird" due to his impressive Harvard credentials.

Michelle, 61, revealed that when she first met Barack in the summer of 1988 while working as a high-powered lawyer at the same law firm, she had preconceived notions about him. She confessed that everyone was abuzz about the "hotshot" Barack Obama, who was not only intelligent but also charming and charismatic.

Michelle often speaks about raising her two daughters, Malia, 26, and Sasha, 24, with her husband, former President Barack Obama (family pictured in 2004)

"I got his profile [at the law firm] and I thought, what kind of name is Barack Obama?" Michelle gushed to her brother Craig Robinson, co-hosting the podcast with her. "And he's Black, and everyone at the firm was excited that he was Black, and I was like, 'he's probably weird, because he's a nerd if a lot of white people are all infatuated with him.'"

It seems Michelle's initial reservations about Barack were rooted in his unusual name and his association with the predominantly white law firm. But what she didn't know was that this nerdy-looking guy would one day become her future husband.

As they spent more time together over the summer, Michelle began to see a different side of Barack. She revealed that he was not only intelligent but also had a great sense of humor and a way with words. "We were becoming 'friends friends' - really good friends," she said. "Barack was like my buddy. We were going everywhere together, and we were going to lunch and laughing about the same things and making jokes."

Michelle Obama may look like she has all parts of life under control but the former first lady has had her fair share of doubts - particularly when it comes to parenting

But what caught Michelle's attention was not just Barack's wit but also his boldness. When they went out for a summer associate outing to see Les Misérables, he surprised her by suggesting they leave early. "I was like, 'we can't go, we're here with the firm,'" she recalled. "And he was like, 'we don't have to stay through this, let's just go.'"

This act of rebellion against the law firm's expectations left Michelle impressed and intrigued by Barack's confidence. "I was like, 'oh, he's radical, he's like a rule breaker," she admitted.

Despite their undeniable chemistry, Michelle initially tried to brush off her feelings for Barack due to their working relationship. She even joked about setting him up with her friends! However, fate had other plans, and they eventually started dating.

Fast forward 33 years later, the Obamas are still going strong, but rumors of a possible divorce have been swirling in the media. Michelle has repeatedly dismissed these rumors on the podcast, saying there's never been a moment when she considered leaving Barack.

"There hasn't been one moment in our marriage where I thought about quitting my man," Michelle asserted confidently. "And we've had some really hard times."

Barack chimed in, adding his own two cents: "She took me back! It was touch and go for a while." Michelle shot him a cheeky smile, saying, "Oh yeah, the rumor mill."

The couple's candid conversation on IMO has only fueled speculation about their marriage, but one thing is clear - they're still very much in love.
