Mia Goth's Glamorous Display at New York Frankenstein Screening

Mia Goth put on a racy display as she attended a special screening of Frankenstein at The Plaza Hotel in New York on Monday

FRANKENSTEIN FEVER: MIA GOTH PULLS OUT ALL THE STOPS AT PLAZA HOTEL SCREENING

In a night of unapologetic glamour and Gothic grandeur, Mia Goth turned heads as she arrived at The Plaza Hotel in New York on Monday for the exclusive screening of Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein. The 31-year-old actress sizzled in a semi-sheer lace dress that left little to the imagination, her toned torso on full display as she struck a pose for the cameras.

But Mia wasn't the only one making waves at the event - her co-star Jacob Elordi, 28, was also spotted at the screening, looking dapper in his tuxedo. The two actors are set to star alongside Oscar Isaac in del Toro's long-awaited adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic novel.

Frankenstein, which had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival back in August, is a sprawling epic that explores the complexities of creation and monstrosity. And with a cast that includes Christoph Waltz as Victor Frankenstein's uncle, Henrich Harlander, this film promises to be one for the ages.

But what makes del Toro's take on the classic tale truly special is its commitment to authenticity. The director has said in interviews that he was drawn to Shelley's novel because of its exploration of identity and otherness - themes that are just as relevant today as they were when the book was first published in 1818.

And Jacob Elordi, who plays the iconic Creature in del Toro's film, seems to have a deep understanding of these themes. In an interview with The Scholarly Note, he spoke about his experience playing the role: "I was finishing up my previous project, The Narrow Road To The Deep North, and I had only about three or four weeks before we started filming Frankenstein. It was a daunting task, but Guillermo's enthusiasm was infectious - he said it was like joining a banquet that was already underway, and everyone was already having a good time."

Frankenstein had its world premiere in the main competition of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival in August

But what really drew Jacob to the role of the Creature was its capacity for self-expression. "I felt like I could put everything about myself into this character," he explained. "From my childhood to my present day experiences - it's all there in some way. And the creature on screen is, in many ways, the purest form of myself."

Oscar Isaac, who plays Victor Frankenstein, has also spoken about the film's themes of creation and responsibility. In an interview with The Scholarly Note, he said: "I had to think about what it means to create life - not just as a scientist, but as a human being. And I realized that it's not just about bringing something into existence, but about taking care of it once it's there."

The film's world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival was met with rave reviews, with many critics praising del Toro's direction and the cast's performances. But what really sets Frankenstein apart from other adaptations is its commitment to exploring the complexities of its characters - particularly Victor Frankenstein himself.

It is set for a limited theatrical release on October 17, before being released on Netflix on November 7

As one critic noted: "Oscar Isaac brings a depth and nuance to Victor that I've never seen before in any adaptation of the novel. He's not just a mad scientist, but a complex human being with flaws and vulnerabilities."

And it's this complexity that makes Frankenstein truly unforgettable - a film that will linger long after the credits roll.
