Melania Trump Mocks Vanity Fair Offer, Staff Threatens Walkout!

Melania Trump has not appeared on the cover of Vogue since 2005

Vanity Fair's Cover Offer Sparks Outrage: Melania Trump Declines, Magazine Employees Threaten Mass Walkout

The drama is heating up at Vanity Fair as the magazine's offer to feature First Lady Melania Trump on their cover has left employees fuming and threatening a mass walkout. According to sources close to the White House, Melania laughed off the proposal from new global editorial director Mark Guiducci in July and swiftly rejected it.

"Melania doesn't have time for this," a fashion insider revealed to Page Six. "She's got her priorities straight, and they don't involve sitting for a solo photo shoot." The source continued, "These people don't deserve her anyway."

But what really sent shockwaves through the Vanity Fair offices was that Guiducci tried to convince Melania over the summer to reconsider. However, his employees had other ideas – and they were not happy about it.

"We would never normalize this despot and his wife," a mid-level editor at Vanity Fair confessed to The Scholarly Note. "We're not going to do it. We'll walk out rather than support a Trump magazine cover." The editor, who wished to remain anonymous, continued, "I will walk out the motherf*ing door, and half my staff will follow me."

The situation has gotten so heated that some employees have even spoken about leaving their prestigious jobs behind. "We're willing to work bagging groceries at Trader Joe's rather than support this," another Vanity Fair employee revealed. The insider added, "It sickens us to think about having a Trump on our cover."

However, it seems Melania never seriously considered the offer in the first place. According to Page Six, she's "way above doing Vanity Fair." A source close to the First Lady emphasized, "She's been nothing but kind and works hard... She has her priorities straight."

Meanwhile, rumors of a staff walkout have been circulating, but not everyone is buying into it. One Vogue employee dismissed the claims as "complete nonsense." The insider stated, "It's all talk – if they put her on the cover, people will protest and gripe about it, but I don't see anyone quitting such a prestigious job over that."

The controversy surrounding Melania's potential Vanity Fair cover has sparked a heated debate about how Condé Nast typically deals with the Trump family. Throughout Donald Trump's first term in office, Melania was not featured on any American Vogue cover – a stark contrast to nearly every Democratic first lady who has graced the magazine's pages while their husbands were in office.

Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, and Jill Biden are just a few examples of first ladies who have been celebrated by Vogue. In fact, Obama appeared three times on the cover between 2009 and 2016, while Mrs. Biden made two appearances in four short years.

In December, Melania sat down with Fox & Friends to discuss her priorities as First Lady. When asked if she'd consider a fashion magazine feature during Trump's second term, Melania responded candidly, "I've been there... For me, we have so many other important things to do than to be on the cover of any magazine."

She continued, "I think that life would not change for anybody if I'm on the cover." It seems Melania has her priorities straight – and she's not about to let Vanity Fair get in the way.

The fallout from this controversy is still unfolding, but one thing is certain: the drama surrounding Melania Trump's potential Vanity Fair cover is far from over.
