Mariah Carey's Vaulted Song: Michael Jackson Estate Blocks Release

Mariah Carey claimed Michael Jackson's estate is standing in the way of her releasing a secret collaboration song in the vault

SCANDAL ROCKS ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY: MARIAH CAREY CLAIMS MICHAEL JACKSON'S ESTATE IS SABOTAGING HER

The drama never ends in Hollywood, and this time it's all about a secret collaboration song between music legends Mariah Carey and Michael Jackson. In an explosive interview on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live show, the 56-year-old superstar dropped a bombshell: she claims that Jackson's estate is standing in her way of releasing their unreleased track.

Carey has been promoting her latest album, Here For It All, and fans have been eagerly waiting to hear the story behind one of the most anticipated collaborations in music history. But as it turns out, the King of Pop's estate has other plans - or rather, they're more concerned with a future project that would allegedly overshadow Carey's song.

The superstar, 56, opened up about the unreleased track as she dished about previously working with two of the biggest names in pop music history

During the show, Cohen asked Carey about her relationship with Jennifer Lopez, but what followed was a juicy revelation about her unreleased track with Jackson. According to Carey, she had been trying to release the song, but it seems like the estate is holding back on approval.

"His estate doesn't want this song to come out because they're planning something huge for him in the future," Carey explained. "They think our song would usurp that situation." Ouch!

Carey's frustration is palpable as she shared her disappointment about not being able to include the song on her new album, which dropped on September 26. "I'm so upset it's not coming out on this album," she said. "It should be on there. Every time I would play it for someone, they'd say, 'Wow.'"

While making an appearance on Bravo head honcho Andy Cohen's show Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday night, Carey said her song with Prince was never finished. However, she revealed that she has been trying to release her completed track with the late King of Pop but was stopped by an obstacle

The singer-songwriter went on to express her love for the song and her hope that one day Jackson's estate will approve its release. We can't help but wonder what other secrets lie hidden in the vault...

But what about the infamous "I don't know her" phrase? Carey famously coined it during a 2003 interview when asked about Jennifer Lopez, and now she's addressing the rumor mill surrounding their supposed feud.

Cohen brought up the topic, and Carey responded with a sly smile. "The thing is, I was being honest when I said it," she explained. "Honesty isn't really something that becomes big most of the time." Ouch!

The singer-songwriter has been promoting her 16th studio album, Here for It All, and said that she wanted her song with Jackson to make it on the record for her fans to hear

Cohen couldn't resist poking fun at the situation by asking, "To clarify, you still don't know her?" Carey playfully replied, "How can I suddenly know... like, you know?"

Their banter left us dying for more, and we can't help but wonder - will we ever get to hear that secret collaboration song? Only time (and the King of Pop's estate) will tell.

This isn't the first time Carey has addressed her relationship with Lopez. Back in 2016, she appeared on WWHL with Cohen and gave a refreshingly candid response when asked if they knew each other. "No!" she said with a laugh. "You know what? I'm very forgetful. Apparently, I'm forgetful. Because I don't remember the fact that it was like 'Hi, I'm so and so' and then we moved on."

In response to a fan's question about the music she has not released, she explained that Jackson's estate does not want this song to overshadow an alleged, forthcoming project; pictured in 1996

Cohen couldn't resist teasing her about it, asking if Lopez seemed cool. Carey's response? "I don't know her." Classic!

In a shocking twist, the interview revealed more than just tea - it also sparked curiosity about what other secrets might be hidden in the music industry. Will Mariah Carey finally get to share that secret collaboration song with the world? Stay tuned for more updates from TheScholarlyNote.com!
