MAREN MORRIS SPILLS THE TEA: COUNTRY SINGER CLAIMS FAN GOT A LITTLE TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT ON HER DREAMSCICLE TOUR

It's been a wild ride for country sweetheart Maren Morris, and we're not just talking about her chart-topping hits or her recent divorce from Ryan Hurd. The 35-year-old singer-songwriter has been making headlines with her music, but this time she's sharing some juicy details about a personal encounter that left her feeling uncomfortable.

According to sources close to the artist, Morris had a meet and greet with fans at her show in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as part of her ongoing Dreamsicle Tour. But things took a turn when someone got a little too handsy - yes, you read that right. The singer claimed that one of the fans groped her during the meet and greet session, leaving her feeling violated.

Morris shared the incident in her Instagram Stories.  She did not identify the person who groped her

Taking to Instagram Stories after the show, Morris shared a heartfelt post about the incident, writing: "Tonight's show was so much fun, but someone grabbed my butt during meet and greet before the show." She went on to emphasize that she loves connecting with her fans, but please, for the love of all things good, respect people's personal space.

The Country Music Association Award winner has been open about her experiences as a woman in the music industry, including coming out as bisexual in June 2024. While this new development might have sparked some controversy among fans who can't seem to wrap their heads around it, Morris remains unapologetic and committed to being true to herself.

In an interview with TZR magazine published earlier this year, she opened up about why she chose to reveal her queer identity: "That was just a facet of me that I didn’t think I wanted private anymore. I wanted to be able to connect with my fans and my queer community." She also shared how her music is becoming increasingly personal, like her song "Push Me Over," which was co-written with the queer band MUNA.

But it's not all sunshine and rainbows for Morris right now. Her divorce from Ryan Hurd, 38, has been a public affair, with both parties sharing custody of their five-year-old son Hayes. Speaking on the Therapuss podcast in June, she revealed how navigating her divorce has been like trying to navigate a small-town drama - everyone knows each other's business!

Morris shared an anecdote about bumping into a friend of Hurd's at a bar and feeling like she was stuck in some sort of awkward limbo: "It is weird because we were together for so long that so many of our friends had to pick sides. It's going to be kind of weird, maybe just for the first few years, I don’t know."

Despite all this drama, Morris remains committed to her music and fans. With her Dreamsicle Tour continuing through September 26, she'll crisscross North America before taking a short break - but not before bringing her unique blend of country-pop to Europe in November.

Morris is divorced from fellow artist Ryan Hurd, 38. The two share son Hayes, five. 'I'm really friendly with my ex and we have our son that¿s always our biggest priority,' she said on the Therapuss podcast

It's clear that Maren Morris is no stranger to controversy or attention-seeking behavior. But one thing's for sure: this talented singer-songwriter is unapologetically herself, even if it means ruffling some feathers along the way. We can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!
