The sun-kissed streets of Malibu were abuzz with excitement as Nick Nolte, 84, stepped out to dinner with a bevy of his A-list buddies. The veteran actor, looking dashing in his mint green shirt and fuzzy beard, was joined by fellow Hollywood heavyweights Sean Penn, 64, and Josh Brolin, 57, at the exclusive Nobu restaurant.

As they sipped sake and savored Japanese delicacies, Nolte's silver locks caught the eye - but he wasn't the only one sporting a distinguished mane. Penn's gray hair was styled to perfection, while Brolin's silver fox look stole the show. The trio's shared Malibu address only added to the sense of camaraderie as they dined on the coast.

The Hollywood was joined by former costar Josh Brolin, 57, who wore a beige shirt and worn-in blue jeans

The three actors have had their fair share of collaborations over the years. They co-starred in Oliver Stone's 1997 film "U Turn" alongside Jennifer Lopez, and later teamed up for "The Thin Red Line" in 1998. More recently, they appeared together in "Gangster Squad" (2013).

But what brought them together this time was more than just a shared love of fine dining. Nolte has been busy working on his latest project, Amazon Studios' "Crime 101," an ensemble drama that also stars Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, and Josh's brother-in-law, Mark Ruffalo.

The plot follows a series of high-stakes jewelry thefts along the Pacific Coast Highway, all orchestrated by a mastermind operating under the protocol "Crime 101." As authorities struggle to catch the culprit, detective Lou Lubesnick (played by Nolte) will stop at nothing to solve the case and bring the thief to justice.

Also seen was Sean Penn, 64, who also sported gray hair as he wore an olive green shirt over a dark blue T-shirt with shiny charcoal gray cargo slacks

Speaking with Business Insider in November 2022, Nolte revealed what keeps him going after decades of success. "I've always had something artistic outside of myself that I can turn to, so I'm still interested in the stories," he said. "And I don't find the 80s particularly fun because you're falling apart in a way. But I've always said that I'll keep on going until I just can't go anymore."

As Nolte and his pals wrapped up their dinner date, it was clear that these Hollywood legends are still going strong - and they know how to make an entrance. Stay tuned for more updates from the world of show business, only on thescholarlynote.com!
