Madonna's Unexpected Connection: Pope Leo XIV and Hollywood Stars

Pope Leo XIV has a surprising connection to a number of Hollywood's most beloved stars, including none other than Madonna

POPE LEO XIV'S SHOCKING SECRET: He's a Distant Relative of Madonna!

In a jaw-dropping revelation that has left everyone talking, it turns out that Pope Leo XIV, the new leader of the Catholic Church, shares a surprising connection with none other than the Queen of Pop herself, Madonna! According to Henry Louis Gates Jr., host of PBS' hit show Finding Your Roots, the pair are ninth cousins, various times removed!

Gates revealed the astonishing fact during an interview with The New York Times, after tracing the lineage of the first American pope. It seems that Pope Leo XIV (born Robert Francis Prevost) and Madonna share a distant maternal relative born in the 1590s. This ancestor, Louis Boucher de Grandpre, hails from Trois-Rivières, Quebec.

The Queen of Pop, 66, who has notoriously clashed with the Catholic Church over the past three decades, is related to the new pope, 69 (seen in 2016)

But wait, there's more! Through this Canadian ancestor, Pope Leo XIV is also related to a host of other famous Canadians - including Angelina Jolie, Hillary Clinton, Justin Bieber, Pierre and Justin Trudeau, and the late Jack Kerouac!

Madonna, who was born and raised Catholic, has had a tumultuous relationship with the Church for over three decades. Back in 1989, she faced condemnation from the Vatican State and multiple popes for her controversial Like a Prayer music video, which featured burning crosses and an erotic depiction of Jesus.

The backlash continued throughout the years, with Madonna facing criticism for staging a mock crucifixion during a concert in Rome in 2006. The Church responded by declaring that she "should be excommunicated," citing her blasphemous performances as a profanation of the cross.

Madonna was quick to share the exciting news on her Instagram Story as she shared a photo of them side by side, alongside a caption declaring him her 'distant relative.'

In more recent times, Madonna sparked outrage by sharing AI-generated images of herself with Pope Francis on social media. The fake images showed the Pope appearing to get cozy with her, with his arm around her waist and his face mere inches from hers.

The Queen of Pop has also reached out to Pope Francis in the past, tweeting to ask him to meet up to discuss "some important matters" - specifically, her "blasphemous" behavior. In a cheeky move, Madonna even joked about being excommunicated three times!

Now, with Pope Leo XIV at the helm, it remains to be seen how their family connection will affect the Church's stance on Madonna's music and performances. One thing is certain, though - this surprising revelation has everyone talking!

In 1989, she was condemned by multiple Popes of the Catholic Church over her Like a Prayer music video, which featured burning crosses and an erotic depiction of Jesus.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

In an exclusive interview with The Scholarly Note, Al Pacino became the first movie star to meet Pope Leo XIV since his election as pope earlier this year.

Pacino revealed that he was honored to be one of the first celebrities to meet the new pontiff. "I'm thrilled to have had the opportunity to meet His Holiness," Pacino said. "He's a wonderful man, and I'm excited to see what kind of impact he'll make on the world."

Pope Leo XIV is also related to Justin Bieber (pictured above in 2021), Angelina Jolie, Hillary Clinton and Pierre and Justin Trudeau through a Canadian ancestor

Pope Leo XIV has already made headlines by meeting with other celebrities during his papacy, including Leonardo DiCaprio, George Clooney, Andrea Bocelli, Katy Perry, and Martin Scorsese. With his family connection to Madonna, it's likely that we'll see more high-profile meetings in the future.

Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story!
