Madelaine Petsch Shuts Down Riverdale Hookup Rumors Amid KJ Apa's Confessions
RIVERDALE STAR MADELAINE PETSCH SETS RECORD STRAIGHT ON CAST'S SECRET ROMANCES
In a shocking revelation, Madelaine Petsch, 31, has come out swinging against rumors of her alleged hookups with Riverdale co-stars, sparking a juicy gossip storm in the process. The actress, who is rumored to be romancing rapper Tyga on the side, spoke candidly about the drama-filled set of the popular CW show during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast on Wednesday.
"I'd like to set the record straight about Riverdale," Petsch began, her voice dripping with sass. "Recently, an article came out claiming that we all got down and dirty with each other on set. Let me tell you something, folks – I did not touch a single one of my co-stars with a 10-foot pole!"
The actress's statement is a scathing rebuke to the rumors circulating about her supposed romantic exploits with her Riverdale castmates. But she didn't stop there – in fact, she went on to claim that she never hooked up with any of them at all.
"I don't mix business and pleasure like that," Petsch said firmly, as if daring anyone to contradict her. "I never touched them, period."
But what's even more juicy is that Petsch claims she received some sage advice from her co-star Cole Sprouse (who infamously dated Lili Reinhart on and off the show) not to get romantically involved with other cast members.
"Okay, got it," she recalled saying in response. "I won't."
Sprouse's warning, it seems, was some of the best advice Petsch ever received – and one that clearly stuck!
But while Petsch is adamant about her own personal boundaries, another Riverdale star has revealed a rather different take on life behind the scenes of the show.
KJ Apa, 25, confessed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly back in August that his co-stars hooked up with each other. "There's a lot of drama that comes on shows like that," he shared candidly. "Not to say it in a gossipy kind of way, but it's just part of the environment, I guess – part of the deal."
Apa revealed that he waited until he was older to lose his virginity, citing his Christian upbringing as a reason for holding off on sex.
"But once you do have sex with someone," he continued, "things can get complicated. You're on set together, and now you're fighting with them."
It's clear that Apa has some regrets about getting involved with a co-star – but what exactly happened between him and the unnamed actor? That, dear readers, remains a mystery for now.
The cast of Riverdale, which aired for seven seasons from 2017 to 2023, included Camila Mendes, Casey Cott, Charles Melton, among others. The show was based on the iconic Archie Comics series and followed the lives of high school students living in the fictional town of Riverdale.
But what really went down behind the scenes? We may never know for sure – but one thing's for certain: Madelaine Petsch isn't afraid to speak her mind, even if it means ruffling a few feathers along the way!
