Macron and Brigitte: From Awkward Morning to United Front with Starmer

Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte put on a united front during a meeting with Sir Keir Starmer and his wife Victoria outside Parliament on Tuesday

SCANDALOUS! Macron's Morning Mishaps Rock London!

In a day filled with drama and awkwardness, French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte put on a united front during a meeting with Sir Keir Starmer – but it was only after an excruciating encounter earlier in the day that had everyone talking!

The morning began with a cringe-worthy moment when President Macron extended a helping hand to his wife as she disembarked from the plane at RAF Northolt in west London. But instead of taking the gesture graciously, Mrs. Macron seemingly ignored it and continued holding onto the handrail, leaving her husband looking like a lovesick puppy!

Earlier in the day, President Macron laid a  wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior alongside his wife inside Westminster Abbey

But that wasn't the only faux pas committed by the French leader. Just seconds later, he went to greet Prince William and Kate, who had been patiently waiting on the runway. In a bizarre display of affection, Macron first shook hands with Prince William before turning to Princess Kate and attempting an unconventional kiss on her hand – but missed it entirely, giving her an "air kiss" just above it!

The tension was palpable as the Macrons made their way to the base in a car, Mrs. Macron's eyes fixed intently on her phone after pulling it out of her bag. It was clear that the First Lady was not exactly thrilled about her husband's earlier mishaps.

But all was forgiven (or so it seemed) when the two couples were joined by King Charles and Queen Camilla for a carriage procession through Windsor. The King, Mr. Macron, and their wives waved to the crowds gathered on the streets as they rode in style.

The couple were joined by the Sub-Dean of Westminster Abbey, Reverend David Stanton, who led prayers in a moment of reflection

Despite the morning's drama, President Macron wasted no time getting down to business. He delivered a historic address to Westminster politicians, calling illegal immigration a "burden" on both countries and vowing to work with PM Starmer to prevent people from crossing the Channel. He also reiterated his desire for a Palestinian state to be recognized and urged Europe to loosen its ties with both China and the United States.

The day ended with Macron laying wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior alongside his wife inside Westminster Abbey, accompanied by the Sub-Dean of Westminster Abbey, Reverend David Stanton. The couple appeared to brush off any animosity following their earlier awkward encounter.

In a moment of reflection, Mr. and Mrs. Macron joined forces with Sir Keir Starmer for a wreath-laying ceremony at Parliament Square, where they laid two wreaths by Churchill's statue. They were also joined by veterans of the First World War as they paid their respects to those who fought and died in the war.

As the day drew to a close, it was clear that despite the morning's mishaps, Macron and his wife had put on a united front – but the question on everyone's mind was: what really went down behind closed doors?
