Lulu's Shocking Confessions: Legendary Singer Opens Up About David Bowie Romance, Alcoholism, and Secretive Childhood

In a jaw-dropping revelation, Lulu has finally confirmed that she had a romantic encounter with the iconic David Bowie in the 1970s. The singer, who has been known for her sultry voice and captivating stage presence, shared intimate details about their tryst, leaving fans and critics alike eager to know more.

The singer, 76, and the legendary Starman hitmaker had a romance in the 1970s after meeting at a hotel in Sheffield

According to Lulu, 76, she met the legendary Starman at a hotel in Sheffield, where they reportedly had a passionate night together. Although the singer claimed that her memory of the event is hazy due to being "a bit tipsy," she insists that their relationship went beyond mere physical attraction.

"It was private," Lulu revealed in an exclusive interview with The Scholarly Note. "And if I'm 100% honest, which I have decided that's what I'm going to be, I think I was slightly pissed."

Lulu continued to share more about her encounter with the late music legend: "I can't really remember... Only to say that he got me there and we were in his room, and you know, we performed the acts and I don't have to go into bloody details because I can't actually remember details, but I wouldn't share them anyway. I do have boundaries."

However, Lulu's confession raises questions about her past relationships and her views on intimacy. In an excerpt from her upcoming memoir "If Only You Knew," released in line with her tour this September 25th, the singer candidly discusses her struggles with sex.

"I wasn't a fan. I was a musician," Lulu wrote. "But, the truth is, I was also afraid of sex. It had never been openly discussed in my home and Betty [her mother] had made it seem almost shameful, one of the many threads that coursed through the black rage between my parents."

Lulu's admission comes as a surprise to fans who have come to associate her with confidence and sensuality on stage. However, the singer insists that she has always been more interested in romance than mere physical attraction.

She explained: 'You know what, I have never said

"It's about a much deeper thing than that," Lulu emphasized. "And that was what we shared. I felt he saw me."

This revelation follows Lulu's recent appearance on This Morning, where she bravely opened up about her battle with alcoholism and the impact it had on her relationships and career. The singer confessed to being an alcoholic in recovery and revealed that she had finally sought help after years of secrecy.

In a poignant conversation with hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, Lulu shared how her sister, who is a psychotherapist, knew about her struggles all along but chose not to confront her until the right moment. When asked why she finally decided to seek help, Lulu revealed that it was her niece's innocent remark that finally made her realize she needed assistance.

Lulu fought back the tears as she opened up about her alcoholism - and how 'sad' she feels that her dad didn't have the same amount of help she did on This Morning

"I had a birthday party, everybody left, except my sister and her kids," Lulu recounted. "In the conversation around the table with a cup of tea...My niece said 'You know so and so, he's hanging on by his finger nails', talking about his problem with alcohol."

The moment marked a turning point for Lulu, who finally felt comfortable sharing her struggles with her loved ones.

"It was silent," she recalled. "My sister looked at me and said very kindly, she said 'I know. I've known for quite some time.'"

The singer appeared on the iconic sofa to chat to hosts Cat Deeley, 48, and Ben Shephard, 50, about her new memoir If Only You Knew

Lulu's openness about her past relationships and struggles has sparked both praise and criticism from fans and critics alike. As the singer prepares to share more about her life in her upcoming memoir, it remains to be seen how this new chapter will redefine Lulu's legacy as a performer and a woman.
