Luke Grimes Spills Tea on Upcoming Yellowstone Spin-Off Y: Marshals

In a bombshell interview with TooFab, Luke Grimes has finally confirmed what we've all been waiting for - his Yellowstone co-stars are returning in his highly anticipated spin-off series, Y: Marshals! The 41-year-old actor, who played the iconic Kaycee Dutton in all five seasons of the hit Paramount Network show, revealed that some familiar faces will be popping up in the new series.

Y: Marshals follows Grimes' character as he joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, bringing his cowboy and Navy SEAL skills to Montana to tackle violence and keep the peace. But what's really got us excited is who else might be joining him on this new adventure. As we all know, Yellowstone wrapped up its run in December with a dramatic finale that left fans reeling after Kevin Costner's exit amid rumors of a feud between the Oscar-winner and show creator Taylor Sheridan.

Grimes, 41, played Kaycee Dutton in all five seasons of the hit Paramount Network show Yellowstone, which wrapped up its run back in December

In his latest interview, Grimes hinted that Kaycee's wife Monica Long Dutton (Kelsey Asbille) and their adorable son Tate (Brecken Merrill) will definitely be making appearances in Y: Marshals. And let's not forget Rip (Cole Hauser) and Beth (Kelly Reilly), who bought a ranch nearby the Yellowstone-Dutton spread, setting up a possible reunion between these beloved characters.

Rumors are swirling that the cast members will get to explore new storylines while maintaining their existing relationships with each other. Grimes gushed about reuniting with his co-stars, saying, "You will see some familiar faces. I'm excited to do it. It's going to be year eight for me, playing the same character... He feels like a family member, and it would be weird to fully let him go anyway, so I'm glad we get to reconnect."

While Kevin Costner won't be reprising his role as John Dutton, Grimes seems to have no hard feelings about their split. "It's not a case of any hard feelings or anything; it's just, he's Kevin Costner," he laughed. However, fans might remember that Grimes did hint in an interview with Men's Health that things got pretty tense on set after John Dutton's untimely demise.

'You will see some familiar faces. I'm excited to do it. It's going to be year eight for me, playing the same character, which is, who would have thought that I would ever play a character for eight years?' Grimes said

The Yellowstone finale ended on a bittersweet note as Kaycee sold the sprawling ranch back to the Broken Rock Indian reservation, establishing a new future for his family. Will Y: Marshals pick up where Season 5 left off? Only time (and some juicy spoilers from Grimes himself) will tell.

Y: Marshals joins another Yellowstone spin-off, The Madison, which stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell as they tackle the complexities of ranch life in Montana.

When asked about production on Y: Marshals, Grimes remained tight-lipped, saying only that it's a "midseason" show, meaning we'll have to wait until 2026 to see these familiar faces back on our screens. But with CBS' Sunday night lineup set to include 60 Minutes, Tracker, Watson, and of course, Y: Marshals at 9 PM next spring, we can't help but feel like this is going to be a season to remember.

He added, 'But, he's really close to my heart. He feels like a family member, and it would be weird to fully let him go anyway, so I'm glad we get to reconnect.'

In related news, Luke Grimes has been making headlines for his latest project, A24 film Eddington. When asked about the similarities between playing Kaycee Dutton and starring in Eddington, he jokingly replied, "Well, it's all just me getting shot at by various people... But no, seriously, it's a very different experience."

As we eagerly await more casting announcements and production details for Y: Marshals, one thing is clear - these Yellowstone co-stars are back and better than ever. Get ready to saddle up for some serious drama and excitement in this highly anticipated spin-off series!

It seems likely that Kaycee's wife Monica Long Dutton (Kelsey Asbille, right) would have some sort of presence in the show, along with their son Tate (Brecken Merrill)

Part of the deal carved out a small part of the ranch for Kaycee and his family to live and raise their own cattle on, while his sister Beth (Kelly Reilly) and her husband Rip (Cole Hauser) bought their own ranch nearby as well
