Livia Firth's Bold Move: Returning MBE Over Trump Visit Sparks Social Media Clash

Livia Firth has hit back at trolls as she was cruelling branded a 'cretinous menopausal hag' for handing back her MBE (pictured in May)

Livia Firth Claps Back at Trolls with Sassy Comeback

The drama is heating up! Livia Firth, the fiery Italian-born filmmaker and activist, has fired back at a troll who called her a "cretinous menopausal hag" for handing back her MBE medal in protest of Britain's treatment of US President Donald Trump.

In a social media video that sent shockwaves through the nation, Livia was seen ripping up her certificate, explaining that she was sending it back to St James's Palace in disgust at what she calls "appeasement" of Trump. The 56-year-old activist and former wife of Colin Firth (remember their sizzling on-screen kiss in Pride and Prejudice?) tore into the trolls who came after her online.

As Livia said bots and fake accounts were behind the majority of her distasteful replies, one commenter called her a 'cretinous menapausal hag'

But one nasty comment from Illumanti Vodka founder James Warwick really got under her skin. In a now-deleted post, he wrote: "They aren't bots, everyone just thinks you're a cretinous menopausal hag, desperately craving attention as your vagina dries up and people stop giving you the attention you are so desperate for. Pathetic."

But Livia wasn't having it! She screenshot the comment and reposted it to her 108,000 followers, firing back with a series of sassy comebacks that left everyone in stitches.

"I see your deleted your comment, lucky for me I took a screenshot before you did that," she wrote. "My vagina is not too dry for now but thank you for your concern."

Livia said in her clapback: 'The problem with abusing menopausal women is that we have gone through a lot in life already. And we take less shit from men who are disrespectful'

And then she really brought the heat: "On the contrary, it seems like you have some serious problems with your masculinity. In particular, it seems you are the example of toxic and abusive misogyny the UN Women I am proudly part of is talking about in the report they just launched at the UNGA."

But that wasn't all - she also dished out some major shade: "You see… the problem with abusing menopausal women is that we have gone through a lot in life already. And we take less shit from men who are disrespectful. I could go on for hours but maybe that would be too harsh for you."

The internet is going wild for Livia's epic clapback, with fans praising her for standing up to the haters and not backing down. "Brilliant response!" wrote one fan.

The activist and former wife of film star Colin Firth, was seen tearing up the certificate in a social media video earlier this week

But what sparked this whole drama in the first place? Livia was appointed an MBE five years ago for her work improving conditions for garment workers around the globe - but she's been at odds with Britain's treatment of Trump, who has been accused of undermining global human rights.

And it seems like Livia's marriage to Colin Firth might have played a role in this whole drama too... The couple split in 2019 after 22 years together, and their divorce was finalized last year. Sources close to the couple say that Livia had an affair with Italian journalist Marco Brancaccia (55) in 2016 - but neither party has ever publicly confirmed or denied the rumors.

Whatever the reason, one thing's for sure: Livia Firth is a force to be reckoned with, and she won't let anyone get away with disrespecting her online.
