Lily James Spills on Dating Apps: 'Feel Self-Conscious!'
Lily James' Love Life is a Hot Mess! Actress Spills on Dating Apps and Aging
In a scorching hot spread for Who What Wear magazine, British beauty Lily James has finally opened up about her love life - or lack thereof. The 36-year-old actress, known for her sizzling performances in films like "Cinderella" and "Baby Driver," gave fans a glimpse into her private world, but don't expect too many juicy details.
Lily, who's notoriously tight-lipped about her personal relationships, confessed that she's not a fan of dating apps. In fact, the thought of swiping through potential matches makes her feel "self-conscious." Who can blame her? With the constant scrutiny from the public eye, it's no wonder Lily prefers to keep her love life under wraps.
"I was always in relationships when the [dating] apps started," she revealed in the candid interview. "Now, I just don't know. I feel a bit self-conscious. I try to stay really private, as private as I can. To be on a dating app feels a bit counterintuitive to that desire." Ah, we get it, Lily! Who needs Tinder when you've got a chiseled jawline and piercing brown eyes?
But what's really got everyone talking is Lily's growing concern about aging. As she enters her 40s (gasp!), the actress has come to terms with the harsh reality of life: "Life is finite." Ouch, talk about a wake-up call! In an attempt to make the most of her time, Lily has vowed to only take on projects that truly resonate with her.
"I only want to do stuff that I really care about," she explained. "I want to spend time with the people I love. I want to make the most of this wild and crazy life, so I only want to work on stuff that I really love." Sounds like our girl Lily is prioritizing what truly matters in life - good for her!
Meanwhile, fans are still reeling from the news of Lily's last known romance with musician Michael Shuman. The two were spotted together in 2023, but it seems their relationship has fizzled out since then.
On a separate note, Lily recently found herself at odds with Instagram moderators after sharing some rather risqué photos from her latest film project, "Harmonia." The thriller, set to hit theaters in 2026, explores the true story of a cult leader's granddaughter and her connection to a bizarre cult in the 1980s.
In one steamy shot, Lily and five of her co-stars appear to be completely naked (although their bodies are blurred for the sake of decency). Instagram, however, had other plans. The social media platform deleted the post, citing community guidelines related to online nudity. Ouch!
Lily wasn't having it, though. She took to the platform to express her frustration: "Instagram you deleted my last post … why…?" Guess we'll have to wait and see if Instagram responds to Lily's query.
The film also features an impressive cast, including Carrie Coon (formerly of "The White Lotus"), Bella Ramsey ("The Last Of Us"), Odessa Young, and Jeremy Allen White in the upcoming Bruce Springsteen biopic "Deliver Me From Nowhere." With this talented lineup, it's no wonder Lily is feeling a bit self-conscious about her love life - who needs dating apps when you've got co-stars like these?!
