Lily Collins Ditches Heels for Birkenstocks on Venice Set of Emily In Paris
SPOTTED: Lily Collins Ditches Her Killer Stilettos for a More Relaxed Look in Venice
Lily Collins, the 36-year-old star of Netflix's hit show Emily In Paris, has been spotted ditching her signature towering chunky platform heels in favor of a more relaxed look while filming scenes for the upcoming fifth season in Venice.
The actress, who plays the titular character Emily Cooper, was seen wearing a pair of brown Birkenstock sandals as she strolled around the Italian city with her co-stars. But don't worry, fans - Emily's still got style! She rocked a bold red mini dress featuring a puff ball skirt and sheer long sleeves with a crisscross pattern printed all over.
The outfit was complete with matching tights that boasted a bold lining on the inside of her legs. As she lunched with her castmates, Lily shielded herself from the sun with an umbrella, looking every inch the fashionista despite the laid-back vibe.
But what's really going down in Emily's world? The actress has been spotted getting close to Marcello, played by none other than a handsome Italian actor (yep, you guessed it!). Their romance blossomed after Gabriel, her former flame, abandoned her on a ski slope. It seems Emily's fallen for the charms of Rome and its leading men.
Meanwhile, fans are still reeling from the news that Camille, played by 31-year-old actress Camille Razat, is leaving the show after five seasons. The French actress took to Instagram to share an emotional goodbye post, thanking the creators and producers for giving her the opportunity to bring Camille to life.
In a statement, Darren Star, creator of Emily In Paris, revealed that the series isn't moving to Rome just yet: "She didn't change her Instagram handle to Emily in Rome. She is working in Rome sometimes. Sylvie's company has an office in Rome. Emily's getting that on its feet."
So what does this mean for our favorite star-crossed lovers, Emily and Gabriel? Lucas Bravo, the actor who plays Gabriel, spilled some tea: "I think Gabriel realised that he doesn't want to let Emily go so easily, and he might have made a big mistake."
But don't worry, folks - there's hope for these two! According to Star, the season is not a permanent move to Rome. Emily will still be splitting her time between Paris and Italy.
And speaking of drama, Camille Razat's departure has left fans fuming. But it seems the actress is ready for new horizons: "I've recently wrapped two series: Nero for Netflix and The Lost Station Girls for Disney+. I'm also excited to share that I've launched my own production company, @tazar_production."
Camille's co-stars took to Instagram to pay tribute to her departure. Lily Collins wrote: "Love you sister. It's been a wild ride and an absolute pleasure. You're a rockstar. So proud of you." Lucien Laviscount added: "From day one you've been my rider on this show...You're special Camille and I feel absolutely honoured to have danced with you these past seasons."
It seems the drama-filled world of Emily In Paris is about to get even juicier! With a new season on the horizon and rumors swirling around Emily's love life, fans can't wait to see what's next for our favorite characters.
