LIL NAS X HOSPITALIZED AFTER WILD 4AM STINT IN CALIFORNIA - POSSIBLE OVERDOSE LEAVES FANS CONCERNED
The Old Town Road phenomenon, Lil Nas X, has found himself in hot water once again after a bizarre incident on the streets of California. The 26-year-old rapper was hospitalized early Thursday morning after being spotted walking down Ventura Boulevard at 4AM, clad only in his underwear and cowboy boots.
According to eyewitnesses, who called the LAPD multiple times, Lil Nas X was exhibiting erratic behavior, prompting concerns that he may have overdosed on something. When police officers arrived on the scene, they found him still walking down the street, allegedly charging at them before being subdued and handcuffed.
The situation became so intense that paramedics were called to the scene, and Lil Nas X was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Law enforcement sources close to the investigation have revealed that the rapper may face charges related to the incident.
TMZ reports that Lil Nas X's behavior was nothing short of bizarre, with eyewitnesses describing him as "nude" and "making his way down the street." In footage captured by a driver, Lil Nas X can be seen singing and talking about a party, striking poses, and asking the cameraperson for their phone.
At one point, he even puts an orange traffic cone over his head, further fueling speculation that he may have been under the influence of something. "Hey, don't be late to the party tonight," Lil Nas X tells the person behind the camera. "You know where it's at." He then proceeds to wave his hand towards the road and urge the driver to leave.
The video also shows Lil Nas X asking about their phone, saying "Didn't I tell you to put the phone down?" before declaring, "Uh-oh, somebody's going to have to pay for that!" In a bizarre moment, he even stretches out his hand and says, "It's going to be a beautiful sunrise."
When asked by the cameraperson for their phone, Lil Nas X responds by saying, "Give me that phone so I can throw it. I'm going to throw it far away so you never see it again. I don't like phones." The video ends with him declaring, "Don't miss the party tonight! Why are you still here? You need to be telling everybody about the f**king party girl, what's your problem?"
This latest incident is just one of several high-profile mishaps that Lil Nas X has been involved in recently. Just four months ago, he was hospitalized for partial facial paralysis, which left fans and followers worried about his well-being.
In a video posted from his hospital bed, Lil Nas X explained what had happened, laughing as he showed off the right side of his face, which remained frozen in place. "This is me doing a full smile right now by the way," he said. "It's like, what the f*? Bro, I can't even laugh right now, bro."
When asked about his condition, Lil Nas X joked that he was "OK" and asked fans not to worry about him. "Guys I am OK!! Stop being sad for me! Shake Ur a** for me instead!" he tweeted.
Lil Nas X's history of experimentation with psychedelics has been well-documented. In an interview with WSJ in 2021, the rapper revealed that he had tried psychedelic mushrooms while working on his debut album Montero. He described the experience as "beautiful" and said it allowed him to tap into a more creative side.
"I was able to open up a lot," he told WSJ. "I was able to write actual stories about my life and put it into my music. I actually did that for the first time."
In another interview with Variety in 2020, Lil Nas X revealed that he had turned to cannabis as a way to cope with several heartbreaking losses, including the death of his grandmother.
"I was smoking [weed] heavily," he said. "But then I started feeling more connected with the universe, and taking everything as a sign."
