Legal Showdown: Justin Baldoni vs. Blake Lively Intensifies with Extortion Claims

Justin Baldoni's former agent accused Blake Lively for 'extortion' as the never ending legal war centered around the film It Ends With Us intensifies even more.

The Never-Ending Drama: Blake Lively vs Justin Baldoni's Explosive Feud

In a shocking turn of events, the explosive feud between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni has taken another dramatic turn. The actress was accused by her former agent Danny Greenberg of "extortion" in the ongoing legal battle over their 2024 film, It Ends With Us.

According to court documents obtained by The Scholarly Note, Greenberg testified that Lively's behavior on set and during post-production was increasingly volatile, with some incidents described as "inappropriate." However, when questioned about his use of the term "extortion," Greenberg clarified that he was referring to the cumulative pressure from both Wayfarer Studios and Sony Pictures, not literal criminal extortion.

According to legal documents obtained by Daily Mail, the 41-year-old filmmaker's (pictured in New York August 2024) agent Danny Greenberg had testified that Lively's, 38, behavior on set and in post-production was increasingly volatile and went as far as describing it as 'extortion'

The drama began in December 2024, when Lively sued Baldoni for allegedly sexually harassing her on set. The lawsuit sparked a heated retaliation, with Baldoni and his team firing back with a defamation suit against Lively, her publicist Leslie Sloane, and her husband Ryan Reynolds.

But the battle doesn't end there! In a stunning twist, it was revealed that Baldoni had filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times over its bombshell expose on Lively's sexual harassment claims. However, in June 2025, a judge dismissed the suit, ruling that the Times' reporting was within privileged court papers.

Now, as the dust settles, new allegations have surfaced of further harassment by Baldoni. An anonymous individual, who had previously worked with Baldoni on a separate project, came forward with claims of repeated verbal abuse and negative interactions with the director and his team. The accuser alleged that Baldoni was "not permitted on set during the majority of production" due to these incidents.

In the new legal documents obtained by Daily Mail, Lively's (pictured in New York in April) make-up artist Vivian Baker said the incidents characterized as 'inappropriate' had all occurred during the first phase of filming and that things 'seemed to be going well'

The drama doesn't stop there! Lively's team has filed a sweeping motion seeking attorney fees, treble damages, and punitive damages against Wayfarer Studios and its executives. They claim that the studio's defamation lawsuit against her was a retaliatory attack after she reported harassment and retaliation.

In the 30-page filing in federal court, Lively's lawyers argue that Wayfarer's conduct fits squarely into what California Civil Code Section 47.1 was designed to prevent – retaliatory lawsuits against those who come forward with harassment complaints.

The motion also cites alleged threats made by Wayfarer co-founder Steve Sarowitz, who allegedly vowed to spend $100 million to ruin the lives of Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds. According to the filing, Sarowitz declared: "I will protect the studio like Israel protected itself from Hamas. There were 39,000 dead bodies. There will be two dead bodies when I'm done. Minimum. Not dead, but 'you’re dead to me.' So that kind of dead. But dead to a lot of people."

Last month it was revealed that Baldoni is facing further scrutiny as another individual has come forward with claims of harassment , according to court documents obtained by The Daily Mail at the time; seen in 2017

Sarowitz has yet to publicly respond to the allegations.

But what's even more shocking is the alleged contract between Lively and Wayfarer Studios, obtained by The Scholarly Note. According to the documents, Lively was set to be paid over $1.7 million in addition to several potential bonuses for her role in It Ends With Us. She would also receive 10% of the film's gross proceeds and millions more based on box office performance and award nominations.

The contract details are jaw-dropping: Lively was to have approval of her driver, a private jet that could fit her and four children, as well as two nannies and a security team. She would also receive $1,500 for assistant fees, $1,000 per week for training, and a meal allowance.

But what about the alleged harassment claims? Lively's team has accused Baldoni of waging war against her in an attempt to damage her credibility and conceal their own unlawful acts. They argue that his lawsuit was baseless from the start and a retaliatory attack after she came forward with allegations of harassment.

As The Scholarly Note exclusively reports, this drama is far from over. With new revelations emerging daily, it's clear that this explosive feud will continue to make headlines for months to come.

What's next?

The Scholarly Note has reached out to representatives for both parties, but so far, no comment has been received. However, one thing is clear: the world is watching with bated breath as this never-ending drama unfolds.
