Laguna Beach Legends Reconcile: Conrad & Cavallari's Epic Feud Ends!

Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari reunited on Saturday after years of speculation that they were at odds, sending fans of the beloved MTV reality series Laguna Beach into a frenzy

THE FEUD IS FINALLY OVER! Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari Reunite After Years of Drama

It's a new era for two of reality TV's most iconic frenemies, Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari! The former Laguna Beach costars have officially put the drama behind them, and their fans are SHOOK.

On Saturday, Cavallari, 38, shared an Instagram snap with her arm around Conrad, 39, captioning it: "Everyone can put away their team Lauren and team Kristin shirts now." The two women beamed at each other, looking like they're still besties from the '04 days when they were just 17 and 18 years old.

The women (seen with their costars in the early 2000s) were embroiled in one of the most famous feuds of the 2000s, but now, decades on, they have put the drama behind them

Fans are going wild in the comments section! One user exclaimed, "The millennial generation is fully healed!" while another wrote, "This healed something inside of me that I didn’t even remember was broken." Someone else joked, "Now this is what deserves the Nobel Peace Prize," and another quipped, "This is the kind of energy our whole country needs right now."

For those who've been following the saga, it's no secret that Conrad and Cavallari were at the center of one of the most infamous feuds in reality TV history. Their complicated friendship was on full display during their time on Laguna Beach, where they got entangled in a messy love triangle with costar Stephen Colletti.

The drama spilled over into subsequent seasons, with fans being forced to choose between "team Conrad" and "team Cavallari." But it wasn't just the viewers who were invested - Conrad famously went on to star in The Hills, only to be replaced by Cavallari during season 5. Ouch!

In the years that followed, both women spoke candidly about their friendship (or lack thereof). In a 2010 interview with thescholarlynote.com, Cavallari claimed they were "cool" but admitted they didn't hang out or have each other's phone numbers.

Conrad, on the other hand, seemed to imply they weren't exactly BFFs when she told Us Weekly in 2012, "I don’t talk to Kristin anymore." The situation only grew more heated when Cavallari appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen a few months later, where she alleged that much of the drama was fabricated for ratings.

But did we really believe her? When asked directly about her "distaste" for Conrad, she boldly declared, "No!" and attributed it to the producers' efforts to create tension between them. She claimed they were young and impressionable at the time and that the show made things way worse than they actually were.

Fast-forward to 2020 when Cavallari hinted in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she and Conrad had moved past their differences, saying, "So much time has passed and what we went through was so silly and it was so high school that I'm pretty sure we're both over it at this point."

And then, just last year, the two women sat down for a rare joint interview on the Asking for a Friend podcast. They finally addressed the drama once and for all, with Conrad explaining, "We had an issue with each other, but it had been squashed [by the time filming started]."

Cavallari added her perspective: "I think what happened is [producers] kind of saw this as, like, a starting point. And then they ran with it. I mean, I don’t think we were, like, best friends. But we were like, 'It’s fine.'"

Months later, Cavallari (seen recently) alleged that a lot of the drama on the show had been 'faked' for views. But when asked if her 'distaste' for Conrad was fake, she boldly stated, 'No'

The feud may be over, but the memories (and the drama) live on! Do you believe they've truly put their differences behind them? Sound off in the comments below!
