Labubu's Glamorous Transformation: Joella Steals the Show at the 2025 Emmys

Perhaps the most surprising star at the 2025 Emmys this year was a life-sized version of the iconic Labubu

THE EMMY AWARDS 2025: THE ULTIMATE FASHION SHOWDOWN AND A NIGHT OF GLAMOUR AND DRAMA!

Last night, the who's who of Hollywood gathered at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles for the highly anticipated 77th Emmy Awards. The star-studded ceremony was a night to remember, with stunning performances, jaw-dropping fashion moments, and some serious drama behind the scenes.

But one celebrity stood out from the rest - none other than Joella, aka Labubu, the drag queen who stole our hearts on RuPaul's Drag Race! This talented performer turned heads on the red carpet in an incredible Life-sized Labubu costume that was an homage to her Chinese heritage. And trust us, she served LOOKS!

The Labubu is drag queen Joella — and don't forget the 'Ella! — who competed on the 17th season of RuPaul's Drag Race

The 25-year-old California native wore a fluffy, faux fur bodysuit complete with the fictional monster's ears on a straw-woven hat. Her outfit included a royal red, strapless qipao with a floral pattern, gilded in gold, and traditional Chinese shoes featuring red suede and metallic gold toecap. And yes, she even carried a purse inspired by a takeout box on a gold chain! Joella's face was the only part visible under her fur suit, but she made up for it with her impressive makeup skills, giving herself big doll eyes and that recognizable sharp-toothed smile of the viral toy.

But what really got everyone talking was when Joella gave a cheeky greeting to her Drag Race co-star Jewels Sparkles on Instagram Story. "Hi! It's the slaysian Labubu," she winked at the camera. And let's be real, who wouldn't want to meet this sassy, stylish queen?

Meanwhile, RuPaul and his beloved show were also up for some serious accolades. The 17th season of Drag Race received a nod in the Outstanding Reality Competition Series category, competing against other popular shows like The Traitors, Top Chef, Survivor, and The Amazing Race.

Debatably one of the worst dressed or the best-dressed celebrity on the red carpet, this talented icon transformed into the popular collectible toy with Chinese details as an homage to her heritage

And speaking of RuPaul, the iconic host is no stranger to Emmy Awards - he's already won a total of 14 Primetime Emmys from 22 nominations! This year, he's up for another two awards. We can't wait to see him slay the stage once again!

But this year's Emmy Awards had some stiff competition in other categories as well. Apple TV+'s hit series Severance led the nominees with an impressive 27 nods, including Best Drama Series and most of the drama acting categories. The show's stars Adam Scott and Britt Lower are nominated for their performances.

And did you know that RuPaul started hosting Drag Race back in 2009? Since then, the show has earned a total of 79 nominations, with 29 wins! That's a whole lot of sparkle and shine!

The 25-year-old performer made a jaw-dropping display when she arrived on the red carpet in yet another one of her memorable looks. She wore a fluffy, faux fur bodysuit complete with the fictional monster's ears in a straw-woven hat

Now let's get to the winners. Andor took home the award for Best Drama Series, while The Traitors won in the Reality Competition Program category.

But the real drama was behind the scenes. We heard rumors that there were some tension between certain celebrities, but we won't be spilling any more tea than that! Let's just say it was a night to remember, and not all for good reasons...
