Kylie Jenner's Bold Music Debut: Pop Star Dreams or Reality Show Drama?
KYLIE JENNER'S SECRET DREAM EXPOSED: Reality Star Turns Musician, But Fans Are Left Underwhelmed
In a shocking turn of events, Kylie Jenner has finally revealed her lifelong dream of becoming a pop star – and it's not just a fleeting fancy. The 28-year-old reality TV personality has been chasing this goal since birth, and she's not letting the harsh criticism from fans deter her.
Just days after her music debut on Monday night, when she appeared as a featured artist on Terror Jr's track "Fourth Strike", the social media influencer has spoken out about her long-held ambition. In a candid interview released just a few days later, Kylie confessed that she's always dreamed of being a pop star. "You know this is my dream," she revealed. "I've been talking about this since I came out of the womb... that like I wanted to be a pop star."
But what sparked her desire to become a musician? Kylie attributes it to growing older and gaining confidence. "Turning 28 just does something to you," she quipped, hinting at the pressure to pursue her dreams before hitting the big 3-0. "Like I'm going to be 30 soon and I don’t want to look back on life and have any regrets."
The mother of two's first attempt at music comes in the form of a sultry bridge in "Fourth Strike", where she softly coos, 'King Kylie,' before slipping into breathy lines. The lyrics are... let's say, not exactly the most sophisticated, with lines like "One strike, two strike, let me get the mood right," and "Write your name all over my body." But hey, who needs poetic lyrics when you have a face like Kylie's?
The song itself is part of the sequel to Terror Jr's 2016 debut track "3 Strikes", which was featured in Kylie's lip gloss campaign for her makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics. And in a surprising twist, it turns out that there were rumors circulating 10 years ago that Kylie was actually the one singing on "3 Strikes"! She laughed off the speculation, saying, "It wasn't me (wish it was) so I had the idea to come together for Fourth Strike and it would actually be me featured!"
Kylie's got a lot of people in her corner – including Terror Jr, songwriter JBACH, Capitol Records A&R VP Carter Gregory, music engineer/producer Bart Schoudel, and even her make-up artist Ariel Tejada. She took to social media to thank them for their support, sharing a cute clip of her kids Stormi and Aire listening to "Fourth Strike" in the back of her SUV.
But it's not all about the music – Kylie's also been flaunting her assets on social media. On Tuesday, she posted two sultry snaps of herself almost spilling out of a leather bustier that seemingly wouldn't zip all the way to the top. And if you thought that was too much, just wait until you see her latest photoshoot snapshots! The reality TV star is promoting her new collection with a series of sexy shots featuring nothing but glitter on her body and a crown.
And speaking of collections – Kylie's got a few up her sleeve. In addition to her music debut, she'll also be appearing in Aidan Zamiri's upcoming A24 movie "The Moment", starring AutoTune pop star Charli XCX. Not bad for someone who was once rumored to have used AutoTune on her vocals (cough, cough).
But what about her personal life? Sources close to the reality TV star tell us that Kylie's been focusing on herself lately – and we can see why! With a slew of high-profile projects in the works, she's clearly got her eyes set on stardom. And with her famous family's reality show "The Kardashians" premiering October 23rd on Hulu (which she executive produces and stars in), it looks like Kylie's about to take over the world.
So, will fans be tuning into her music debut? It seems like a resounding no – but we'll see what happens when season 7 of "The Kardashians" drops.
