Kim Kardashian's Vogue Cover: A Bold Statement Post-Kanye!
KIM KARDASHIAN SLAYS IN FRENCH VOGUE COVER SHOOT: TAKES SHOT AT EX-KANYE WEST AND REVEALS HER SECRET TO CONFIDENCE
In a stunning display of sass and sophistication, Kim Kardashian has graced the cover of French Vogue's October issue, marking a major milestone in her illustrious career. But what makes this moment even sweeter is that she used it as an opportunity to subtly throw shade at her ex-husband Kanye West.
The 44-year-old mogul has been on a roll lately, finalizing her divorce from the 48-year-old rapper three years ago and emerging more confident than ever. When asked about how she's managed to achieve this newfound self-assurance, Kim candidly revealed that it wasn't until recently, after turning 40, that she gained the confidence to make decisions on her own.
"I used to constantly need to check with someone before making a decision," she confessed to Vogue. "It's crazy to rely so much on others' opinions. Today, I know exactly what I want, and it's exhilarating."
Kim credits her blossoming relationship with fashion as the catalyst for this transformation. She particularly singled out Demna, the former Artistic Director of Balenciaga, who she claims helped her develop a sense of self-assurance.
"I think it was with Demna that things really changed," she said. "He doesn't care what people think, so I learned to do the same."
But Kim's confidence isn't just limited to her fashion endeavors; as a mother of four and billionaire businesswoman, she's had to navigate multiple roles simultaneously. When asked about how she manages her busy life, she revealed that organization is key.
"When you're a mother, especially a mother of four, organization is everything," she said. "I've always had a list of goals, like a list of things you want to do before you die. Magazine covers are definitely one of them, and this one has always been at the top of the list."
However, behind-the-scenes glimpses into Kim's daily routine reveal that it's far from glamorous. The hands-on mom barely gets a moment to herself, with her children waking her up and requiring constant attention.
"I wake up my children, when they're not the ones who wake me up," she laughed. "We get dressed, I prepare breakfast for them, and then I accompany each of them to school. It's real chaos, but organized chaos."
Despite her hectic schedule, Kim cherishes these moments with her family and knows that there will come a time when they'll be grown and gone.
"I love the time we spend together," she said. "Luckily, because I do this every day. Truth be told, I almost never have time for myself."
However, her recent graduation from law school has freed up some of her time, which she's devoted to acting – her new passion project. Kim stars in Ryan Murphy's upcoming series All's Fair, playing the role of Allura Grant, a divorce lawyer leading an all-female law firm.
"Ryan knows exactly what he wants and makes sure he gets it," she said of the showrunner. "He doesn't let you fail. That really helped me because I had never done this before."
In a poignant twist, Kim appears almost makeup-free in French Vogue's October issue, draped in some of the world's most precious jewels. The use of jewelry is especially significant given her past experience as a victim of a $10 million robbery in Paris back in 2016.
The ringleader and seven members of the gang that tied up and robbed Kim were found guilty by a Paris court in May, and she has since spoken out about the traumatic experience.
Despite this, Kim's successful business ventures continue to thrive. She spoke candidly about her shapewear line SKIMS, which was initially met with skepticism but has since become a global phenomenon.
"From the start, I had a very clear vision of what I wanted," she said. "I was lucky enough to bring it to life."
With her business, fashion, and acting careers thriving, Kim's latest French Vogue cover shoot is just another notch in her belt. And if you ask us, we're loving every minute of it.
