Kim Kardashian Opens Up About Heartbreaking Low Point with Pete Davidson
Kim Kardashian Spills All on Her Romance with Pete Davidson and the Drama with Kanye West
In a juicy interview with Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper, Kim Kardashian opened up about her high-profile romance with Pete Davidson, the low points of their relationship, and how it all relates to her highly publicized divorce from Kanye West.
The 44-year-old billionaire, worth over $1.2 billion, dished out the tea on her whirlwind romance with the 31-year-old comedian, which began after she filed for divorce from West in February 2021. The two dated from October 2021 to August 2022, and Kim couldn't help but reflect on some of the low moments they experienced during their time together.
One of the most telling moments came when Alex asked Kim about a particular incident that made her feel sad and hurt. It all related back to Kanye West's infamous music video for "Eazy" in 2022, which featured Pete Davidson being buried alive. The scene was widely seen as a thinly veiled attack on Davidson and his relationship with Kardashian.
"It really wasn't fair to him," Kim said with a hint of sadness in her voice. "I felt so bad for him, and he handled it all with such class and dignity." She continued, "He was always like, 'I got this, don't worry, everything is okay.' It's just not easy being put in that position."
Kim also touched on how Kanye's constant bullying and harassment affected her current approach to dating. The reality TV star admitted that it's had a significant impact on her ability to trust others.
"It has definitely affected my approach to dating," Kim said candidly. "I get close to someone, and then I start thinking, 'Wait, wait, what if his ex does something?' It can be frustrating, but at the same time, I know that my next partner won't care about any of this drama."
The SKIMS founder also opened up about her daughter North's thoughts on her love life. In a surprise twist, Kim revealed that her 12-year-old daughter has been nagging her to get back out there and start dating again.
"North told me straight up that I'm 'pretending' to be okay with being single," Kim said with a laugh. "She even accused me of crying at night when she thinks no one is looking." The mom-of-four continued, "She's like, 'Mom, it's time to move on! You need to get a boyfriend now!' I mean, who can resist that kind of pressure from their kid?"
Kim and West tied the knot in 2014, just after North was born. Their divorce was finalized in 2022, but not before West married Australian model Bianca Censori, 30, in a private ceremony last year.
In the end, Kim Kardashian's candid conversation with Alex Cooper left fans of the reality TV star wondering what's next for her love life. With North giving her the green light to start dating again, it seems like we might see Kim back in the spotlight soon enough.
