Khloe Kardashian Steps Up: Why She's Taking Amari Into Her Mansion

Khloe Kardashian has three people living with her. In addition to her two children Tatum and True, whom she shares with ex-fiance Tristan Thompson, the 41-year-old reality TV siren has a teenager in her posh $20M Hidden Hills home

Khloe Kardashian Opens Up About Raising Tristan's Disabled Brother Amari - The Unlikely Family Member

In a jaw-dropping revelation, reality TV star Khloe Kardashian has spilled the tea on her unconventional living arrangement with three people under one roof in her luxurious $20 million Hidden Hills mansion. Joining her two adorable kids, Tatum and True, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Tristan Thompson, is Amari, Tristan's 18-year-old brother who suffers from a rare form of epilepsy called Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS).

In an intimate conversation on her podcast Khloe in Wonder Land, Khloe dished about how she became Amari's primary caregiver after his mother, Andrea, passed away suddenly in 2023. "I've known Tristan and his family for almost a decade," Khloe confessed, "and when I met them, we instantly clicked. Andrea would often confide in me about her son's medical needs, and I'd help her find the right doctors and treatments."

However, it wasn't until Andrea's untimely death that Khloe took on a more significant role in Amari's life. The Good American designer revealed that Tristan's NBA schedule made it impossible for him to provide constant care for his brother, who requires around-the-clock attention due to his severe seizures.

"I have two sensational caretakers for Amari," Khloe assured her listeners, "and we make sure he receives the best possible care in our home. It's not just about providing a roof over his head; it's about giving him the love and support he deserves." The 41-year-old mother of two expressed her gratitude for having Amari as part of their family, stating that seeing him interact with her kids and nieces/nephews has been "life-changing."

Khloe also emphasized the importance of exposing her children to diverse individuals like Amari, who brings a unique perspective on life. "It teaches them compassion, understanding, and opens up their minds to see beyond physical disabilities," she said. "Amari may not be able to talk, but his eyes light up when he's around the kids, and that's all we need."

'For those who don't know, Tristan has a younger brother who is 18 years old, and he is severely disabled,' she said on her podcast Khloe in Wonder Land. Amari has LGS (Lennox-Gastaut syndrome), which is a form of epilepsy, and he is disabled

As Khloe and her family continue to navigate this new chapter with Amari by their side, they're committed to providing him with the best life possible. The reality star made it clear that her relationship with Andrea had nothing to do with Tristan; rather, it was a genuine friendship built on mutual respect and trust.

"Amari deserves someone who will be there for him, take care of him, and provide a great lifestyle," Khloe asserted. "And I'm honored to be that person in his life."

'When I met Tristan and his family, oh my gosh, like nine, almost 10 years ago, which is crazy. When I met them, Andrea, Tristan's mom and I, we became such good friends,' she said. 'I would help her with Amari medically'
