Kelly Osbourne Debunks 'Suicide Pact' Rumors: The Real Story Behind Ozzy and Sharon's Claims

Kelly Osbourne, 40, has revealed the truth behind the 'suicide pact' that her parents Ozzy and Sharon claimed to have made years earlier

Kelly Osbourne Slams "Suicide Pact" Rumors and Sets the Record Straight on Her Parents' Health

It's been a wild ride for the Osbourne family, but Kelly is having none of it! The 40-year-old TV personality took to her Instagram stories last Friday to address the ridiculous rumors that her parents, Ozzy and Sharon, had made a "suicide pact" years ago. And let's just say she was NOT having it.

The drama started when Sharon Osbourne revealed on their podcast, The Osbournes, back in 2023 that they were still considering euthanasia as an option if they ever suffered from a life-threatening condition. But Kelly quickly jumped to her parents' defense, slamming the speculation and telling fans to "stop making articles or posts about how you think my parents are having a suicide pact." She firmly stated that it was all just her mom's attempt to get attention - classic Sharon style!

Back in 2023 on The Osbournes podcast, Sharon stated that euthanasia was 'still a plan' for both herself and the Crazy Train hitmaker and questioned, 'Do you think that we¿re gonna suffer?'; seen in 2020 in Beverly Hills

But that wasn't all, folks! Kelly also tackled another hot topic: Ozzy's health. There had been rumors circulating online that the rock star legend was "dying" due to his Parkinson's diagnosis. But Kelly shut down those claims with a fiery rant on her Instagram reel.

"So, there's this video going around on social media and it's supposed to be of my dad," she said, referencing a viral AI video of Ozzy talking about his mortality. "But what the f* is wrong with you people? Why would you spend your time making a video like this?" Kelly asked, exasperated. "He's not dying! He has Parkinson's, okay? His mobility is different now, but he's still my dad and he's still kicking!"

And if that wasn't enough, Kelly also shared some choice screenshots of comments on social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram, where fans were speculating about Ozzy's health. One tweet read: "Tell us Ozzy is going to be dying soon without telling us he's going to be dying soon." Um, yeah... not exactly what you want to say when your dad is still very much alive and rocking out on stage!

However in a new clip, Kelly expressed, 'I don't know what side of the bed I woke up on today, but I woke up on a f***ing I'm gonna f*** you up and fight you day'

Speaking of which, Ozzy did indeed take the stage at Villa Park Stadium in Birmingham, UK for his final live show with Black Sabbath. But what made it even more special was that Kelly's partner, Sid Wilson, proposed to her backstage in front of her parents - talk about a family affair!

It seems like the Osbourne family is always in the headlines, but Kelly has no qualms about speaking her mind and setting the record straight. And let's be real, we love her for it! After all, someone's gotta keep her dad from being "dying" just yet.

A Brief History of Ozzy and Sharon's Euthanasia Plans

'So, there's this video going around on social media and it's supposed to be of my dad and it's AI,' the mom-of-one said; singer seen in 2024 in Ohio

So, where did all this drama come from? Well, it seems like the Osbournes have been discussing euthanasia as an option for years. Back in 2007, Sharon wrote about her views on assisted suicide in her autobiography, Survivor: My Story - The Next Chapter. She revealed that Ozzy and she had both considered putting a plan in place to end their lives if they ever suffered from Alzheimer's or another debilitating condition.

"We gathered the kids around the kitchen table, told them our wishes and they've all agreed to go with it," Sharon wrote. "I saw my father suffer from the day he came back into my life in 2002 to the day he died in July... there's no way I could go through what he did, or put my kids through that."

Ozzy himself also weighed in on the topic in a 2014 interview with The Scholarly Note. He said: "If I can't live my life the way I'm living it now - and I don't mean financially - then that's it...[Switzerland]. If I had a stroke and was paralyzed, I don't want to be here."

Osbourne paused and then frustratingly added, 'What the f*** is wrong with you people? Why would you spend your time making a video like this? He's not dying!'

It seems like this is a topic that's been on the Osbourne family's minds for years. But Kelly has made one thing clear: they're not "dying" anytime soon!

Kelly additionally included a screenshot to give an example of comments filtering on social media platforms such as: 'Tell us Ozzy is going to be dying soon without telling us he's going to be dying soon'

A few years earlier on The Osbournes podcast, the topic of a 'suicide pact' that both he and Sharon made was brought up by their son Jack; seen in 2004 in Beverly Hills

Jack then said, 'Aren't we already all suffering?' and Sharon continued to offer her view on the matter; Sharon and Ozzy seen with son Jack in 2024 in Ohio

'We believe 100 per cent in euthanasia so have drawn up plans to go to the assisted suicide flat in Switzerland if we ever have an illness that affects our brains. If Ozzy or I ever got Alzheimer's, that's it - we'd be off,' she said; seen in 2020 in L.A.

The evening was even more memorable as Ozzy was supported by his family. Kelly was also in attendance and her partner Sid Wilson proposed to her backstage in front of her parents
