Kelly Clarkson's Vegas Residency Triumphs After Controversial Cancellation!

Kelly Clarkson, 43, has officially kicked off her much-awaited Las Vegas residency - just one week after angering fans by canceling shows last minute

JUICY SCOOP ALERT!

Kelly Clarkson is back and better than ever! The pop diva has finally taken the stage at her Las Vegas residency, just a week after canceling her opening shows due to vocal strain.

And let's be real, we're all here for it! Clarkson, 43, stunned in a figure-hugging dress that showed off her curves as she belted out hits like "Because of You" and more. The stage setup was straight fire, with multiple pictures hanging on the wall, warm lights shining down, and even backup vocalists and green plants scattered around!

Along with performing hits for the crowd, the star also apologized for canceling the opening two shows of her residency just minutes before showtime

But before we get to all the drama-free fun, let's take a trip down memory lane. Just last week, Clarkson took to Instagram 90 minutes before her first scheduled show and explained she was "devastated" to postpone the concerts. Fans were left feeling bummed out, with one user writing, "Totally bummed that we flew all the way to Vegas only to find out that the show was cancelled 1 1/2 hours prior to show time. So so sad!!"

And can you blame them? I mean, who wouldn't want to see Kelly Clarkson perform live?! But apparently, her grueling rehearsals had taken a toll on her voice, and she needed to protect herself from doing serious damage.

Now, we know what you're thinking: "Kelly, why didn't you just cancel the shows earlier?" Well, according to Clarkson's Instagram post, it was all about giving fans the best experience possible. She wrote, "I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow's opening at Caesars."

'I love being in the studio, and that's where this entire idea came from,' the former American Idol contestant explained

But don't worry, Kelly has learned from her mistakes! For her Las Vegas residency, she's brought in a team of musicians and singers to create an immersive experience that feels like you're right there in the studio with her. And trust us, it sounds AMAZING!

So what can fans expect from the show? According to Clarkson herself, it's going to be "totally different" from anything we've seen before. She told TheScholarlyNote.com earlier this year, "This is totally different for us, how we're doing it... It's called Studio Sessions, and the reason for that is I feel like you don't get live anymore - maybe back in the '70s - but you really don't get live what you really feel in the studios."

And honestly, we can't wait to see what Kelly has in store for us! The mom-of-two still has a bunch of dates set throughout July and August, and then she's taking a break before returning to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in November.

Kelly stunned in a figure-hugging dress that clung to her frame and contained both feathery and dazzling details on the material

But here's the tea: Kelly's future on her Emmy-winning talk show is reportedly up in the air. Her contract with NBC comes to an end in 2026, and insiders are saying she might be considering walking away from the show altogether!

And can you blame her? I mean, being a TV host is hard work! But hey, at least we'll still have Kelly's music to enjoy.

Clarkson later had an outfit change and sported a pair of black jeans as well as a short-sleeved, Stevie Nicks shirt

It comes just one week after the songstress took to Instagram just 90 minutes before her first scheduled show and explained she was 'devastated' to postpone the concerts following grueling rehearsals

She added, 'I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve'; seen in May in NYC

In conclusion, the songstress wrote, 'I can't wait to be back next weekend and show y'all what we've been working on'

The cancellation of the singer's first two shows last week comes amid reports that her future on her Emmy-winning talk show is seemingly up in the air
