Katy Perry's Near-Fall at San Francisco Gig: Fans' Hearts in Their Mouths!

An audience member captured the moment Katy Perry almost fell after a mechanical prop malfunctioned during her concert in San Francisco on Friday

KATY PERRY'S WILDEST MOMENT YET: SINGER ALMOST TAKES A NERVOUS PLUMMET INTO THE CROWD DURING CONCERT!

Get ready for a heart-stopping, pulse-pounding, and utterly mesmerizing performance from pop sensation Katy Perry! The 40-year-old songstress left fans gasping in shock as she almost fell out of the air while soaring through the sky on a mechanical butterfly during her concert in San Francisco.

The incident occurred on Friday night, when Katy was belting out her hit single "Roar" at the Chase Center. Dressed to kill in a sparkling crop top and hot pants, the usually fearless performer seemed like she was having the time of her life as she glided effortlessly above the crowd. But things took a drastic turn for the worse when the flying stage prop suddenly malfunctioned, sending Katy plummeting downwards.

Fans were left panicked as they captured the heart-stopping moment as the singer, 40, belted out her hit song Roar while soaring through the sky on a mechanical butterfly [Katy pictured on a mechanical butterfly during her tour in April]

Luckily, the singer was strapped in and managed to grab onto the mechanical insect just in time, looking horrified as she tried to steady herself. The crowd held its collective breath as Katy stopped singing and attempted to compose herself before finally continuing with her performance.

The incident has left fans reeling, with many taking to social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their shock and awe. "First Beyoncé and now Katy Perry, next it's gonna be Usher being sent into outer orbit!" tweeted one fan, while another exclaimed, "Katy Perry almost fell ON TOP of me while flying on that butterfly! This concert is WILD!"

The drama comes just days after Katy was left overwhelmed with emotion during her Lifetimes tour stop in Los Angeles. The pop star alluded to her recent breakup with now-ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom while obliging fans' requests for her to sing her heartbreak ballad "Not Like the Movies."

KATY'S HEARTBREAK BALLAD

During the show, Katy asked the audience if they wanted to hear her sing about her recent split. "You're gonna make me sing this song in this time in my life? OK, we'll do it! Because you voted for it!" she said, before launching into a heartfelt performance of the emotional ballad.

The song, which Katy wrote after her first divorce, seemed to hit home with fans, who were left misty-eyed and applauding wildly at the end. It's no wonder - the lyrics are a poignant reflection on the highs and lows of love, with Katy promising to "try and hold my composure while I sing it a week before my period."

KATY AND ORLANDO: A LOVE STORY GONE WRONG

But despite her emotional performance, Katy's relationship with Orlando Bloom seems to be going downhill fast. The couple confirmed their breakup this month, after swirling speculation about their relationship status.

The pair began dating in 2016 and got engaged on Valentine's Day 2019, before welcoming their four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove in August 2020. However, things seemed to take a turn for the worse when Orlando attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's star-studded Venice wedding alone earlier this month.

KATY'S SOCIAL MEDIA SHADE

But don't think Katy is taking her breakup lying down! The pop star took to Instagram earlier in the day to promote her concert, listing off all the special guests who would be attending - minus one very important person: Orlando Bloom.

Her caption began, "HOMETOWN SHOW AT THE FORUM TONIGHT‼️" before she went on to list off a series of wacky and wonderful individuals, including her best friends, business partners, mom, dad, ear nose and throat doctor, dog groomer, MDMA therapist, acupuncturist, manicurist, and even the teacher from the yoga class she attended in 2015.

Of course, one notable absence was Orlando Bloom - but Katy's ex-wife Miranda Kerr was spotted at the show, fueling rumors that the two are still close.

THE SCHOLARLY NOTE'S EXCLUSIVE

The Scholarly Note can exclusively reveal that Orlando and Katy have been "shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting." A source close to the couple confirmed that they will continue to be seen together as a family, with raising their daughter Daisy Dove being their top priority.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), fans were quick to share the shock at the moment, with many comparing it to a similar incident that Beyoncé suffered last month
