Kate Moss: Paris Fashion Week Glamour with a Guard
SPOTTED: Kate Moss, 51, Brings Out The Big Guns (Her Bodyguard) as She Strolls Back to Her Parisian Pad After Another Fashionable Night
Paris Fashion Week is in full swing, and Kate Moss is strutting her stuff like it's nobody's business! The supermodel, who's been a fixture on the fashion scene for decades, was spotted leaving the Costes Hotel in the City of Love after attending a book signing event for her latest tome, "A Love Letter To Kate." But don't be fooled – Kate didn't venture out alone. Nope, she had her trusty bodyguard by her side to keep an eye on things.
Kate, looking every inch the style icon, paired a black spotted blouse with high-waisted jeans and finished off her look with a sleek leather clutch bag and stiletto heels. But it was her shades that really caught our eye – dark glasses can be such a great disguise, don't you think? After all, Kate's got secrets to keep, just like the rest of us.
This is just another day in the life of one of fashion's most enduring legends. And speaking of legend, Kate's daughter Lila has followed in her mother's footsteps (or should we say, stilettos?) and made a splash on the runway herself! The 21-year-old beauty modelled for Miu Miu back in 2021 and has since become a fixture in the fashion world.
But don't just take our word for it – Lila spilled all about her relationship with her mum to British Vogue in 2023. "I don't know that my mum expected me to go into fashion, really," she said of Kate's initial reaction to her career choice. "I'm quite shy, like her – but she's fully supported every decision I've made."
And when it comes to advice from Mum, Lila says she's learned to just wing it. "She's intuitive," she explained. "I know what I'm doing on a Wednesday afternoon a month from now, whereas she has a more... lax approach to timekeeping." Sounds like a match made in heaven (or at least, a great example of opposites attracting) if you ask us!
But Lila's not just about looking good – she's also got a heart of gold. The young model has been using her platform to raise awareness for diabetes, an issue close to her own heart. In 2020, she opened up about living with type 2 diabetes in a segment on Vogue's In The Bag YouTube channel.
"It's not visible from the outside, so no one would really know just by looking at you," she said candidly of her condition. "I think it's really important to talk about it and raise awareness – because I know there are probably loads of people out there who have diabetes and aren't aware that they're not alone."
And this season, Lila is taking her advocacy efforts to new heights (or at least, a new campaign!) as the face of Mattel's first-ever diabetic doll. The doll features a continuous glucose monitor and insulin pump – devices Lila has used herself.
As for Kate, she's been keeping busy with appearances on the Paris Fashion Week circuit. And let's just say, we're not surprised to see her bringing out the big guns (okay, maybe not literally, but you get the idea!) for protection in the City of Love.
