Kate Moss and Madonna Reignite London Fashion Week at Exclusive Firehouse Reopening!
SIZZLING NIGHT OF GLAMOUR: KATE MOSS AND MADONNA TEAR UP THE TOWN AT CHILTERN FIREHOUSE
It was a night to remember as two of the world's most iconic women, Kate Moss and Madonna, took to the dance floor at London's swanky Chiltern Firehouse on Thursday evening. The supermodel and pop icon were joined by a star-studded guest list, including some of the biggest names in fashion and music, as they celebrated the launch of London Fashion Week.
The evening was hosted by photographer Mert Alas and luxury spirits brand Seventy One Gin, which marked the first major event at the hotel since the devastating fire on Valentine's Day. The Chiltern Firehouse has temporarily reopened its lobby for friends and family during London Fashion Week while the hotel and restaurant undergo reconstruction.
Kate Moss, 51, looked effortlessly chic in a little black dress, sheer tights, and heels as she mingled with her A-list pals. She was seen chatting and dancing with Madonna, who cut a stylish figure in a blue striped shirt, dark denim jeans, and matching jacket. The Queen of Pop finished off the look with some trendy black-framed glasses.
Madonna was sipping on a bespoke Seventy One Gin cocktail at their VIP table, courtesy of photographer Mert Alas. She has been a longtime friend of Mert's and is known for her love of luxury spirits. The pair were joined by other fashion and music royalty, including Jordan Barrett, James Yates, and Honey Dijon.
The guest list was a veritable Who's Who of London society, with the likes of Rosie Campion, Tasso Ferreira, Tish Weinstock, and Charlotte Tilbury all in attendance. Make-up mogul Charlotte was beaming as she posed with Seventy One Gin's Managing Director and Co-Founder, Tasso Ferreira.
Meanwhile, model James turned heads in a sharp beige suit, striking a pose for the camera with his drink. American DJ Honey Dijon wowed in a black lace corset top, confidently posing with a bottle of Seventy One Gin. Guest Rosie brought the party vibes as she hit the dance floor and took shots from the bottle.
The evening was a testament to the enduring power of London's most iconic after-hours hotspot. The Chiltern Firehouse has been a favorite haunt of celebrities for decades, and its temporary reopening has brought some much-needed glamour to the city.
But it wasn't just about the party - Kate Moss also had a new project to celebrate. She recently landed a new job hosting an eight-part podcast series called David Bowie: Changeling. The show explores the artist's artistic evolution between 1970-1975 and features rare and unheard archive interviews from Bowie himself.
Kate, who was close friends with Bowie for around a decade before his passing in 2016, said: "David Bowie was a very special person - someone who was much more than a friend. He was an enigma." She went on to say that she was excited to help share the story of Bowie's incredible transformation.
The podcast features exclusive interviews from Bowie, including one from 2001 with creator Des Shaw and some recently unearthed audio from the BBC Archive. There are also archive chats from Lady Gaga, Sinéad O'Connor, Lou Reed, and Tracey Emin.
Kate and David were known to have a playful relationship - in an interview with BBC Radio 6 Music back in 2016, she revealed that he used to tease her about not being able to fit into his clothes. "He was so slim," Kate said. "Even I couldn't get into his outfits. He would say things like 'mmm, I heard the clothes didn't fit.' And I'd be like, 'Yeah, it didn’t fit me!'"
Still, there were some things Kate could wear - and on one memorable occasion, she channeled her inner David Bowie as she picked up an award for best British male at the BRITS in 2014. He originally donned the leotard-style garment while appearing at London's Rainbow Theatre in Finsbury Park on August 19, 1972.
The outpouring of affection and longing for Chiltern Firehouse has been overwhelming, according to owner André Balazs. "We’re extremely grateful for the loyalty and enthusiasm of both our guests and staff," he said. The hotel's temporary reopening is a testament to its enduring appeal - and we can't wait to see what the future holds for this iconic London landmark.
