KATE GOSSELIN OPENS UP ABOUT FEARING FOR HER KIDS IN DIVERSE COMMUNITY

The drama, the tears, and the tension - it's no secret that Kate Gosselin and her ex-husband Jon Gosselin had a tumultuous marriage that was put on full display for the world to see on their reality TV show. But in a shocking new revelation, Kate is opening up about the fears she harbored for her kids when they were younger.

On Monday, the 50-year-old mother-of-eight took to her brand-new TikTok account (because who doesn't love a good TikTok?), where she spilled all the tea on the struggles of raising mixed-race children in a predominantly white community. And let's just say it's not exactly pretty.

The mother-of-eight took to her new TikTok account on Monday to reveal that she 'worried constantly' about her kids, who are half Asian, experiencing racism

When asked by a fan if racism was ever an issue for her family, Kate responded with a resounding "yes." The blonde nurse explained that when she was pregnant with twins Mady and Cara (now 24), she worried constantly about them experiencing racism in their community. But things took a turn for the better when the cultural landscape shifted, making mixed-race families more visible in everyday media.

"It started happening a lot," Kate revealed. "I would see advertisements, billboards - everywhere! And I think it was because people thought being mixed race was 'cool'." She even dropped a name: Tiger Woods, who was breaking barriers on the golf course at the time. "Maybe that's why?" she mused.

But despite this newfound acceptance, Kate's kids eventually faced a harsh reality when they got older. "Things changed a lot," she said sorrowfully. "And not for the better."

After she posted a TikTok video announcing her upcoming TikTok live on Friday, Kate replied to a comment asking if racism was ever an issue for her family

Kate and Jon's high-profile marriage ended in divorce in 2009, amidst a very public custody battle that left their eight children caught in the crossfire. In the end, Jon was granted full custody of Hannah and Collin (now 21), while Kate retained custody of the remaining six kids.

In a recent TikTok live, Kate got real about their divorce, admitting that it "did not turn out well for my kids." She revealed that she chose to handle the situation with dignity, despite her ex-husband's antics. "I didn't want to stir up trouble," she said firmly. "I wanted it to be peaceful for them."

But even Kate couldn't avoid the drama entirely. Her ex-husband Jon has been making headlines in recent months for his tumultuous relationships and public feuds with their kids, including a very public custody battle over Hannah and Collin.

Kate and her big family found fame on the TLC show Jon & Kate Plus 8, which followed their life raising their eight children: Mady and Cara, 24, and sextuplets Collin, Hannah, Alexis, Aaden, Leah and Joel, 21

Kate, however, is focused on moving forward - and she's not just talking about her love life (or lack thereof). The former reality TV star is reportedly eyeing a cooking show and cookbook deal for extra income. And who knows? Maybe this new chapter in her life will be the calm after the storm that was their marriage.

In any case, it's clear that Kate Gosselin is ready to spill all the tea on her family drama - and we can't get enough of it! Stay tuned for more updates from the world of The Gosselins.
