But behind the scenes, sources close to the reality star have revealed that she's struggling to make ends meet. According to reports from October 2024, Kate is "hurting for money" and facing the possibility of having to sell her home in North Carolina due to financial difficulties. The source told In Touch magazine that she doesn't socialize with friends or date, and even her nursing job, which paid a fraction of what she made on Jon & Kate Plus 8, didn't pan out.
The insider added that Gosselin is still trying to secure new reality TV deals, but doors aren't opening for her. The source blames this on her reputation as a "lunatic mom" after an incident where she zip-tied and locked one of her sons in the basement room.
