Kate went on to explain that providing for eight kids, saving for college funds (which she proudly claims have covered all of their education expenses), and dealing with lawyer fees took a toll on her finances. "Sickening but I was drug into court constantly and that costs A TON," she wrote in the comments section.

When asked about what happened to the income from the show, Kate responded honestly: "Honestly? Providing for 8 kids, college funds which I am proud to say covered all of their college and more and LAWYERS."

Despite her financial struggles, Kate seems to be focusing on the positives. She shared that she's now working as a pediatric home health care nurse and has been doing it for an impressive 28 years! When asked how long she'd been in the profession, Kate quipped: "Wow. That made me feel super old to type that number."

In addition to her new romance and nursing career, Kate also opened up about what she misses most about her time on reality TV. While she loved being a stay-at-home mom, she confessed that it was stressful and that she's sad to have missed the "cute" moments of her kids when they were little.

But it seems like Kate is now embracing her new life as a single mom and nurse. She shared with fans that some of her children will be living with her at home in between semesters at college, giving them a chance to spend quality time together.
