Loosely based on the novel Mr. & Mrs. American Pie by Juliet McDaniel, Palm Royale takes us back to the super-rich Florida enclave of Palm Beach in 1969, where Kaia's character Mitzi becomes embroiled in a scandalous affair with main character Maxine's (Kristen) husband Douglas (Josh Lucas).
