In a devastating blow to the entertainment industry, Aussie heartthrob Julian McMahon has left this mortal coil at the tender age of 56, leaving behind a trail of broken hearts and a whopping $24 million fortune. The talented actor, who had been battling cancer in private, was surrounded by his loved ones when he made his peaceful exit.

McMahon's impressive career spanned over three decades, with the dashing star landing major roles in iconic TV shows like Nip/Tuck, Charmed, and Profiler. But it was his breakout performance as Dr. Christian Troy in the campy medical drama Nip/Tuck that catapulted him to international stardom.

The Aussie hunk's salary skyrocketed after his stint on Nip/Tuck, with sources revealing he raked in a whopping $125,000 per episode - and we're talking back in 2007! But it was just the beginning of his lucrative career. By 2008, his paycheck doubled, cementing his status as one of Hollywood's A-listers.

But McMahon wasn't just about the Benjamins; he had a soft spot for philanthropy too. In 2015, he sold his stunning Hollywood Hills home for $2.18 million, netting a cool $1.5 million profit. Talk about making smart investments!

The actor left behind his devoted wife Kelly Paniagua and daughter Madison McMahon, whom he shares with ex-wife Brooke Burns. The heartbroken couple had been together for 11 years before tying the knot in a romantic Lake Tahoe ceremony in 2014.

The 56-year-old Australian-American actor had been secretly battling cancer , his wife Kelly revealed in a heartbreaking statement on Friday; the couple are seen in LA in January 2017

In a heartfelt statement obtained by Deadline, Kelly revealed that Julian's battle with cancer was a private one, but his love for life and family never wavered. "Julian loved life," she wrote. "He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible."

The Nip/Tuck alum's final public appearance was alongside Nicolas Cage at SXSW in Austin, Texas, promoting their psychological thriller The Surfer - little did they know it would be Julian's last hurrah.

But McMahon's impressive resume doesn't stop there! He starred alongside Dylan Walsh in the hit series Nip/Tuck, earning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Drama Television Series in 2004. He even dabbled in Marvel movies, donning the iconic role of Dr. Doom in Fantastic Four (2005) and Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer (2007).

The Sydney, Australia native also had success on the big screen as he starred as iconic supervillain Dr. Doom in two Marvel movies Fantastic Four (2005; pictured) and Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer (2007)

But Julian's personal life was just as juicy! He was previously married to model Brooke Burns from 1999 to 2001, with whom he shares their beautiful 25-year-old daughter Madison Elizabeth McMahon. And if that wasn't enough, the Aussie hunk also tied the knot with Australian singer and TV personality Dannii Minogue from 1994 to 1995.

In a poignant twist of fate, McMahon's final role was as an Australian Prime Minister in Netflix's murder mystery series The Residence - talk about coming full circle!

As news of his passing spreads like wildfire, fans around the world are mourning the loss of this talented, charming, and devastatingly handsome actor. As Kelly so eloquently put it, "We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy. And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy, to continue to find joy in life."
