Julia Fox Joins Blake Lively Feud: Supporting Women Against Inhumane Backlash
SHOCKING TWIST IN HOLLYWOOD FEUD: JULIA FOX ENTERS THE FRAY, STANDING UP FOR BLAKE LIVELY AGAINST JUSTIN BALDONI
In a jaw-dropping turn of events, actress Julia Fox has inserted herself into the ongoing battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, declaring her unwavering support for the Gossip Girl star. The feud, which has been making headlines for months, took a dramatic turn on Monday when a judge dismissed Baldoni's $400 million defamation suit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, their publicist Leslie Sloane, and the New York Times.
But Fox, 35, wasn't about to let the drama die down without weighing in. In an exclusive interview with The Scholarly Note.com at the Tribeca Film Festival, she revealed that she's a long-time supporter of Lively, regardless of whether or not her claims against Baldoni are true.
"I support women all the time," Fox said confidently. "I support women when they're right, I support women when they're wrong, I support women when they're likable, and when they're unlikable – I support them."
Fox's comments come as a surprise to many in Hollywood, where Lively has been accused of making false allegations against Baldoni, her It Ends With Us co-star and director. But Fox isn't buying it.
"I believe women," she stated firmly. "I do know that Blake has been a victim of the internet, and I've seen how people have been so inhumane towards her."
The Uncut Gems star went on to reveal that she's had her own share of experiences with online trolls, from cruel responses to her 2022 romance with Kanye West to the scathing criticism of her daring red carpet looks.
"I know how it feels to be under attack," Fox explained. "I've been there myself, and it's not a pleasant experience. But I want Blake to know that she doesn't deserve the backlash she's getting right now."
Fox added that she believes Lively is being unfairly punished for speaking out against Baldoni.
"The punishment for women always outweighs the crime," Fox said passionately. "And we don't even know if there was a crime in the first place. I wish people would just shut up until we have all the facts and stop speculating."
The Italian-American actress, who has been open about her own struggles with an abusive childhood and difficult relationships, made it clear that she's standing by Lively no matter what.
"I want Blake to know that there are people rooting for her," Fox said. "And as someone who's been on the receiving end of online hate, I can sympathize with how isolating it feels."
Fox's decision to support Lively has sparked a heated debate in Hollywood, with many wondering why she's inserting herself into the feud.
However, Fox made it clear that she's not one to shy away from controversy. In fact, she's been known to speak her mind and stand up for women who have been wronged.
"I've done it before," Fox said, referencing her outspoken support of Amber Heard during her high-profile defamation trial against Johnny Depp. "And I'll do it again if necessary."
Baldoni, 41, has yet to respond to Fox's comments, but Lively has taken to social media to express her gratitude for the actress's support.
"Thank you @juliafox for standing up for women," Lively wrote on Instagram. "Your bravery and willingness to speak out against injustice is an inspiration to us all."
As the drama between Lively and Baldoni continues to unfold, one thing is clear: Julia Fox is firmly in Lively's corner.
The question now is – will Fox's outspoken support of Lively have any impact on the outcome of the feud? Only time will tell.
