Jimmy Kimmel's Escape Plan: Italy Citizenship Amid Trump Era

The 57-year-old made the revelation while appearing on the Sarah Silverman Podcast earlier this week

Breaking News: Jimmy Kimmel Reveals He's Got a Secret Plan to Escape Trump's America - and It Involves Becoming an Italian Citizen!

In a shocking revelation that's got everyone in Hollywood buzzing, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel has come clean about his secret plan to escape the chaos of Donald Trump's presidency. And trust us, it's a doozy!

Kimmel, 57, made the stunning admission on The Sarah Silverman Podcast earlier this week, revealing that he's obtained Italian citizenship as a backup plan - just in case things get too hot for him under Trump's administration.

The news from Kimmel comes after Trump said on Wednesday that Kimmel and his fellow late-night host Jimmy Fallon were next to be canceled

"I did get Italian citizenship," Kimmel coyly confessed. "What's going on is as bad as you thought it was gonna be. It's so much worse, it's just unbelievable... I feel like it's probably even worse than he would like it to be."

But what really got our attention was when Trump himself piped up in an Oval Office meeting, throwing shade at Kimmel and fellow late-night host Jimmy Fallon, saying "Fallon has no talent. Kimmel has no talent. They're next. They're going to be going, I hear they're going to be going."

Ouch! Looks like Trump's got a bone to pick with the boys!

Kimmel and Silverman also discussed how Trump supporters who expressed their regret for casting their vote for the president have faced backlash from the left online

But what really got our spidey senses tingling was when Kimmel unleashed on the "loud" left and their cancel culture tactics, slamming them for being too extreme. In a scathing takedown of the woke mob, Kimmel said: "'It's not the party. It's not the majority. It's the loud voices that scare people from saying what they believe and make you think twice about a joke... A lot of their points are valid, but a lot of them are also just repulsive, in that they repel people."

Silverman joined Kimmel on his podcast, discussing the backlash faced by Trump supporters who dare to change their minds. "Now you see like these clips of Rogan saying, 'Why is he doing this? He shouldn't be deporting people,' and people go, 'Fuck you, you support him, whatever.'"

Kimmel chimed in, "If you wanna change your mind, that's so hard to do. If you want to admit you were wrong, that's hard and so rare to do, you are welcome."

But what really sealed the deal was when Fox News host Greg Gutfeld came out swinging for Kimmel on Fallon's show Thursday night. "The biggest crossover since the Harlem Globetrotters visited 'The Golden Girls,'" Gutfeld joked. But in all seriousness, he praised Fallon as a "great, genuine guy who wants to make people laugh instead of putting them to bed angrier than 'The View at a salad bar.'"

But here's the kicker: Gutfeld went on to praise Kimmel for being brave enough to break free from the liberal echo chamber that dominates late-night TV. Unlike Colbert's show, which is set to disappear next year due to low viewership and declining profits - or should we say, pressure from Trump? (CBS settled a lawsuit with Paramount over deceptive editing of a 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris for $16 million).

Colbert himself called the settlement "a big fat bribe" before his show got canceled. Talk about drama!

As the world watches this game of musical chairs play out in Hollywood, one thing's for sure: Kimmel and Fallon are on the hot seat - but will they stay there? Only time (and Trump's Twitter fingers) will tell.

So, there you have it! The latest scoop from The Scholarly Note. Stay tuned for more updates as this drama unfolds...
