Jessica Simpson's Music Comeback: Will She Finally Get Her Kids to See Her Perform Live?

The wait is almost over for Jessica Simpson's three mini-me's - Maxwell, 13; Ace, 12; and Birdie, 6 - who are still dying to see their mom rock the stage. The 45-year-old pop star has been keeping her family life separate from her music career, but it looks like that might finally change next month.

In an exclusive chat on Jennifer Hudson Show Thursday, Jessica opened up about her decision to put her singing career on hold after giving birth to her kids. "I really wanted to be a mom," she revealed. "I wanted to focus on the Jessica Simpson collection and that really was connected to my lifestyle." But it seems like she's ready to trade in her design label for a microphone now.

The 45-year-old former pop star explained on Jennifer Hudson Show Thursday: 'They've never seen me perform. I really wanted to be a mom. I wanted to focus on the Jessica Simpson collection and that really was connected to my lifestyle'

The former pop star is set to perform at PH Live inside Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Nevada on November 8, and we can't help but wonder if her kids will finally get to see her shine. "I'm very excited about that one," she gushed. "Maybe my kids can come to that one." And who knows? Maybe this performance will be the catalyst for a family tour.

Jessica's children are already showing signs of following in their mom's footsteps - especially her youngest, Birdie, who has been belting out tunes like a seasoned pro. "My youngest can sing her brains out," Jessica bragged. "Like, she's got power and I don't know, but she's got lungs!" And it looks like the family musical talents run deep, as Jessica's two eldest children have even developed perfect pitch.

But what really gets our gossip meter ticking is Jessica's revelation that her kids are incredibly proud of her music comeback. "They've supported me since I started going out to Nashville," she said. "They knew I was following my dreams and they saw how happy it made me and how much peace it gave me." Aww, isn't that just the sweetest thing?

She continued: 'The kids are very proud of me. They've supported me since I started going out to Nashville. They knew I was following my dreams and they saw how happy like it made me and how much peace it gave me'

And speaking of musical comebacks, Jessica has some exciting news about her upcoming projects. She's collaborating with none other than her sister Ashlee Simpson Ross-Næss on a duet - and get this: their kids might even make an appearance! "Yes, of course," Jessica teased. "Ash and I were just talking on the phone two days ago about wanting to do something... and wanting our kids to be involved as well." We can't wait to see what these two talented sisters have in store for us.

But let's get real for a second - there's more to Jessica Simpson than just her music comeback. The 45-year-old has been keeping busy promoting her album Nashville Canyon: Pt 2, which dropped last month. And it seems like she's also getting back into acting, as she'll be starring in Ryan Murphy's upcoming legal drama All's Fair on Hulu next month.

In a surprising twist, Jessica will be playing a "very crazy role" that requires an impressive eight hours of prosthetic makeup. And if you thought that was all, wait until you see the star-studded cast - Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash, Teyana Taylor, Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, and many more are set to join Jessica in this highly anticipated series.

Jessica is next scheduled to perform at PH Live inside Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Nevada on November 8

But what's really got everyone talking is Jessica's personal life. The singer has been open about her struggles with addiction in the past, and now that she's back on track, fans can't help but wonder if she'll be celebrating eight years of sobriety next month (her due date for sobriety is November 1). We're sending all our best wishes to Jessica on this milestone - here's to many more years of music, love, and happiness!

And finally, a little-known fact about Jessica Simpson: the former Dukes of Hazzard star first rose to fame with her quirky demeanor on MTV reality show Newlyweds (2003-2005) alongside her ex-husband Nick Lachey. Who knew that three-octave soprano pipes would be just the beginning?

'I'm very excited about that one, so maybe my kids can come to that one,' Simpson said
