Jeremy Renner's Emotional Memoir: Ava's Role in His Recovery Journey

In a shocking turn of events, Academy Award-nominated actor Jeremy Renner has revealed that his daughter Ava was an integral part of his latest project - a memoir about his life titled "My Next Breath". The 54-year-old star, who shares the 12-year-old with ex Sonni Pacheco, has traditionally kept his daughter's image off his social platforms. However, for this book, he made an exception.
The Modesto, California native told People that Ava "sort of inserted herself into that scenario" by writing an essay early on in the project. Renner was so impressed with her contribution that he asked her if he could include it at the beginning of the book. And what's more, Ava will also be narrating the audiobook version, a feat that has given Renner immense pride.
"I forgot about the idea that she's going to have to do the narration of that too," Renner confessed during an interview with People at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California. "I was just reminded and so proud of how far we've come as a family, how far we've come as father and daughter."
Renner has always been protective of his daughter's image online, but this time around, he felt compelled to share her work with the world. When asked why he chose to feature Ava in the book, Renner replied, "I was just very proud of her and how far she's come." This sentiment is evident in a clip he shared on Instagram Stories, showcasing Ava working on the project.
But what really caught our attention was Renner's account of his near-fatal accident in January 2023. The actor broke more than 30 bones in his body while trying to protect his nephew Alex from harm at a snowplow accident near Lake Tahoe in Nevada. Miraculously, he survived the ordeal and has since made a remarkable recovery.
In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live! in July, Renner shared that Ava dedicated her school project to how proud she was of him after he recovered from his injuries. Renner said, "It sounds like nothing, but when it's post-accident, you know... I wanted to create something really special for her, a milestone in my recovery." He also revealed that he spent an hour and a half getting out of the house just to show Ava that he was genuinely recovering.
Renner's memoir is not only a testament to his strength but also a heartwarming tribute to the unbreakable bond between him and his daughter. As for Ava, it seems she's already following in her father's footsteps - or should we say, on the same page?
The 54-year-old actor was spotted attending the 10th Anniversary Gala for A Sense of Home, a Los Angeles nonprofit that helps prevent people from becoming homeless. Renner and his sister Kym were honored for their charity work through their RennerVation Foundation.
